I must have tried to play casino mage a hundred times and it always just ends up being like a 40 minute game against blooddk who plays 2 patch and snipes both win conditions
so I play a rogue deck that supposed to be good, my first match up is yep a casiono mage that absolutely GOD rolls answers.
ancient mysteries into pulling one of each secret from deck into play for 6 mana, a 3 damage holy nova perfctly timed.
I am not asking for “advice” on how this game might have played out diferently, it wouldn’t have, every BS spell this mage pulled was insane, it wouldn’t have gone another way.
I am just stating my disatisfaction with how stupid rng is in general in a supposedly “competitive game”, I really do think most games are decided on turn one and its just a really fancy long rock paper scissors game.
tldr casino mage seems far better at random than jackpot rogue
Agreed, but unfortunately this is the direction blizzard chose to take the game in because they believe this is what the community wants. I don’t think even the pro players defend that this is a competitive game anymore.
The only time they take the game in a direction the community wants is either by accident (which they promptly undo), or so many patches later the change everyone was calling for are already irrelevant. I haven’t seen a company so openly hostile to the desires of their customers since kodak decided not to embrace digital until it was too late. And we all know how that went.
Totally agree with this! Granted i have had games to where i felt bad for my opponent, to where i was top decking like i was blessed by blizzard, but those matching ARE EXTREMELY RARE, outside of that i get a 100% win rate against bots and a 25% win rate against humans. On bots my top decking is superb, but against human players all cards needed to be competitive are never found, or pop up when the game is decided.
Considering he’s referring to the company as a whole, and everything released since has been a soulless cash grab (or turned into one shortly after because they purged the original dev team) and it shows, it’s very sound. The fact you couldn’t provide a counterpoint speaks volumes.
