I’m back with a bigger notebook and bigger ambitions, I was experimenting with soul searching duping on warlock tourist when the thought suddenly occurred that if wing welding was in standard, what other board clears did I own happen to be standard?
Turns out the spell I been sleeping on was Eternal Layover. This one spell that kills and reborns the entire board seemed to be the missing “speed/shield boost” that starship focused decks needed, as it inflates the scrap pile while simultaneously generating obnoxious amounts of armor both while you’re building the ship, and when you cash in on the stacked deathrattles.
This deck is admittedly on a budget, but it shows the idea of what a starship deck is trying to be, at least in my eyes, that being: a factory that’s making a literal mountain of bodies, the more bodies it comes across, the more defined its shape becomes.
Carnivorous Cubicle, Eternal Layover, and even Dorian are how you “make” the bodies. Wing welding, Ceaseless Expanse, Eternal Layover again, and sin of wrath are how you “process” the bodies. If you played your cards right then you will have walked away from the match either with 3 different ships created, all with at least 18 armor proc on death, or a minigun grade win condition that rivals that of C’thun’s own gaze, that also happens to have lifesteal.
I was just filling in the gaps with the demon spam deck, if someone wants to go all the way with 2 soul searchings (those 5 corpses come fast dw) and 2 tidepool pupils you are welcome to try.
And the obsessive fan is normally intended for the Cubicle but I’ve found myself guarding the Dark Star more often than Cubicle.
Always remember: Eternal Layover is your swiss army knife, it clears/severely weakens the board, refreshes your titan, fills your starship, AND keeps you alive.
