The new currency is a fail remove it or we boycott hs

Hiya, so I can understand how diablo immortal has inspired the introduction of a new currency but that doesn’t mean you should. I propose we quit hearthstone until this clearly insulting currency is removed, who is with me?

Nobody. This model has been proven to work for years. People need their gacha game currencies. It’s the new drug that’s legal and unregulated. Kind of like how you used to be able to buy tabaco before people knew of the health risks and it became regulated to be only available for adults.

How do you know? it seems everyone is happy with this currency except you

I can feel it in my blood. Is there any other way I can get the currency without actually purchasing it?

I buy tobacco every day and I’m well aware of the risks. Gotta smoke for me, pal?

I haven’t laughed so hard at any other forum post. Are you deliberately trolling? If not, kudos to you. You stick to your guns. I dont know a single player that likes runestones.

I quit cold turkey years ago. I don’t miss it. At all.

Should have done it decades earlier or never started at all.

Also, I am about to do hearthstone like I did smokes.

You’re one of the smartest individuals on these forums. Don’t make me follow your lead!

i dont think happy is the right way to put it

in my case is "i can live with it " im not even interested in cosmetics
so all they have to do is keep the prices for the card bundles and the tavern pass and i wont notice the differnce between runestones and paying with money directly

is just an extra step and i dont really care doing it or not

I like the fact that they stated that we could buy every quantity of runestone we need, instead of fixed quantities, only for them to start selling any kind of stuff for a random value of runestones that you can’t buy without excess.

Seriously, why not let players buy any amount of runestones they’d like? It’s fine to transform your game into a cash grab, but man, don’t make it so obvious. First, Mercenaries (still screwed up, right?) and now this.

[Answered below. Kinda.]

And i can add to it that skins are getting really better overtime without any raise.

Things also got cheaper in my country after runestones so blizzard is actually passing part of the cost they had before as discount.
Less transactions = Lesser cost = lower prices with bigger profit.

Everyone wins.

They need to have the alternate currency in place so they can technically apply to potential gambling oversight laws, should they not be written with this specific trickery in mind. If the purchases are specifically an in-game currency for a static amount, it’s not gambling. There are even non-random purchases you can make with that currency.

It’s a gray are that the milkers have been using to skirt existing laws in places like China.

thats not what they said they said we ll be able to buy enough runestones for their top selling items
is easy to guess they were talking about the tavern pass bundle and mega bundle…

Sorry minami, meant to reply to Boreas. But, yeah, they kinda said that.

You should check my country(brazil) then.

In the end everything in game got around 2/3 bucks(in dollar) cheaper around here in the same patch as runestones were added.

Maybe it’s non related to runestones.

With that said that is also the way for who really want to buy cheaper stuff.

The price here was already the lowest in the world for any digital product related to blizzard.

I don’t know that’s intentional. I was reading about that earlier, coincidentally.

Good to know.

It’s time to buy some runestones i guess.

Alright, maybe I interpreted as if everything could be bought precisely without ending with excess runestones.

It’s still a top garbage move imo
