As always, after I hit legend I make a point to deck test and mess around with deck concepts. Today I wanted to build the most tilting and rage inducing deck. So, of course it, had to be priest.
The concept? What happens if I just steal or disrupt everything? Not a new concept, but a fun one to play with. After about 15 games, going 10-5, I got 2 friend requests and 1 instant concede. The friend requests were complaints about stealing cards. The insta concede was a Dirty Rat popping out Skyla.
The most fun game was against Reno Shaman. I hit Incindius with Dirty Rat and made a 1/1 copy with Puppet Theater. I got to make 2 copies. I also got his Shudderblock and Hagatha with more Rats. Frankly, I do not know why he did not concede. I stole 3 spells with Benevolent Banker and stole his Yogg with Shadow Word Steal. It is the grimiest game I think I have ever played.
If you want to torture some people, here is the code.
Oof, I can’t imagine being this obsessed with someone. Yup, I just finished my climb yesterday and made a post about how there has been more deck diversity that dispelled a bit of my gloom about the meta. I am still on the fence on quitting.
During my climb I saw a bunch of overheal priest and pure control DK. It was incredibly refreshing to see them thriving at top ranks. Overheal Priest is hugely slept on. While i am still very unhappy with the current design space, some diversity coming back made the climb less miserable than last month.
Neither, just stating a fact. I really do not have trouble walking away from games. I quit WoW, D3 and D4, OW, and I was gone from HS for 5 years. I climbed to legend in one session and actually enjoyed the decks I played against. NOT changing your mind when presented with new information would be the childish thing to do. I quite literally am admitting I am wrong and that some other decks were able to thrive in the current mana cheat meta.
Seems like criticizing someone for admitting they were wrong is an odd thing to do. Especially when you got on Scrotie’s case for doing something similar. Maybe, don’t be a hypocrite?
I stream FF14 with some IRL friends 3 times a week and we also play Among Us and some other stuff. I much prefer chilling with friends on Discord and playing stuff. I play HS casually on the side since I am WFH.
Just pointing out you are doing exactly what you criticized another for doing. I don’t hold the opinions of hypocrites in high regard. Maybe think on it a bit.
Edit: Is pretty toxic. It’s weird how most matchups never really felt favored either way. Could still lose to four turns of water elementals in a row but also sometimes ripped the win conditions out of other decks with banker or dirty ratted something in the late game and picked it up for myself.
Was refreshing to not do the same thing every game.
Every game is different. It is not made to be the highest win rate, just to frustrate the opponent on a new level. It is also just nice that every game has many different decision trees.
Priest is fine. It looks annoying when it steals the cards of others, but it doesn’t have that many great cards that are standalone apart from Aman’Thul.
