Old news. But indeed, if a company were to rig a game to increase their profits, the smartest way to go about it would be to boost RNG temporarily after someone makes a $$ purchase to reinforce that decision
What wouldn’t accomplish the goal of making more money would be to rig it to make people lose 50% of their games, which is what a lot of conspiracy theorists seem to think happens (because they are mad they lost a few in a row)
But either way, the data doesn’t support the claim that people get better in game RNG after they pay for packs
great you found an old patent that prevents competitors from using their code. can you now please provide the proof where this has actually been applied to hearthstone (actual data proof, not “i believe”)
yes they just patent things for no reason. they have no intention of using it, they patented it because they are the good guys protecting us from other companies who would use it LMAO…you prob think fb isnt selling your information and all the covid numbers are legit because “they said so”.
it wasnt patented because they were bored. it costs time and money and companies dont just spend without it coming back to them. that patent is a gold mine. they arent just letting it sit there, they are not in the patent squatting business.
these things costs THOUSANDS (usually between 3 and 15k) of dollars just to file your patent (patent seacrh, examination fees, uspto filing costs, etc). some final patents applications cost between 20 and 30k. not including attorney fees which are another 3-10k. and the patents have to be maintained so every 3 1/2 years, 7 years and 11 years you pay INCREASINGLY more fees to hold it. that money needs to be recouped.
but believe what you want lol…
probably the oldest line concerning patents:
“a patent is a sword, not a shield.”
far from every patent filed is seeing use. there exist a lot of patents whos only purpose is to be able to sue competitors etc for settlement money when they introduce something thats similar to their patented software, which can help you create a monopoly-like situation in a field where none can introduce anything similar.
you must live in a truly scary world where a company controls the entire world and has as only purpose to make you specifically pay $40 for a game that you are playing for free. (ofc ignoring all the data that shows f2p players without issue can climb to legend in short time without paying anything for the game, you are after all the victim in this major conspiracy)
Your asking him to provide proof of something you know he can’t without having access to Blizzard code.
Anyone who has played any game like poker and understands sampling and true card variance can see a mile away the game is rigged.
funny that you say that because while he cant see the code there are tons of data available to be analyzed, and there are even websites that make their living of analyzing the data. yet there has been no evidence of this so called rigging
Blizzard have stated their aim is for all players to have an “expected” win rate of 50% .
You only do that with rigging
only if you twist the meaning of it. there is a very simple situation that will create an expected winrate of 50%, and that is being matched to someone of equal skill - which in hearthstones matchmaking system means someone with similar mmr as you. we have also seen evidence of the system working this way with diamond players getting matched vs legend players, the diamond players mmr was at the same level as the legend players they faced so they got an opponent at their level, but this forum decided to stare itself blind on the symbol instead (apparently Legend-10000 is infinitely higher than D1)
trying to claim the system riggs the game based on decks to create 50% winrate is just pure stupidity as a players skill can wastly outnumber any advantage a certain deck gives you. the claim also introduces the issue of properly track exactly how each tech and meta development affect the entire meta and with that also the entire matchup dynamic.
omg these game defenders on here are are just silly
saying its old news they dont use xD
They are a multi-billion company with the best legal, crisis management, financial and marketing team that money can buy.
They can rig their game to the moon and we still can’t find any evidence against them.
I want to play poker against you.
Oh, we intend to make a code and don’t want anyone else to do it so we can get an edge… but you know what? Let’s never actually use it!
Sounds idiotic right? That’s how you sound like Peverin. You don’t make any sense at any rate.
you are missing a few important details in your poor attempt to make personal attacks:
your suggestion now is to repeat the major failure they had in 2017 which this time would ensure more countries than just belgium would outright ban all similar practices and effectively killing your own game aswell as ruining the reputation of any multiplayer game you current own and will own in the future. you may hate the company all you want, but they arent stupid enough to kill off their own game (its an easy way to get fired on the spot while also receiving fraud lawsuits from all their shareholders)
there are three of you blizz defenders left on this forum and you all use the same exaggeration tactic. that whole second paragraph is just antagonistic non-truth because you cant deflate what i said with facts so make me sound crazy and hope that works? lmao…
it also shows you dont even have a grasp on what the issue is. or how patents work.
and your defense for blizz is they are squatting on this gold mine of a patent and not using it because they just want to defend us from companies who would! ctfu…!!! its hilarious how predictable the white knights are, i literally posted your stance before you did!
cmon, you KNOW we are laughing right? you wont admit it but you KNOW how silly that sounds. its absurd to believe blizz is now in the patent trolling business lol…you coming up with a more fantastic conspiracy to defend against a truth that only you call a conspiracy is mind bending.
right, if only i had a master of science in industrial engineering and management… oh wait, i have.
i could break your entire argument into tiny pieces with how poorly formulated it is. but thats honestly not worth my time so i will instead congratulate flat earth society, they no longer have the most stupid arguments in existence!
but you choose not to? this whole time that youve been defending against antiblizz accusations you could have just ended it huh? so, instead of doing it you choose to antagonistically exaggerate other peoples positions and make up more conspiracies to battle what you call conspiracies but you could have ended all this with your weighty credentials?? LMAO! sure you can, bud. sure you can. that whole statement makes total sense.
“im right. EVERYONE but me is wrong. my credentials make me untouchable and now im going to associate you with a group of crazies so i can put a label on you and not have to listen to you tell me im wrong.”
classic narcissism. i get it tho. not many of you left it must be frustrating when you come out of your echo chamber…btw, you do realize that “master of science in industrial engineering and management” has nothing to do with coding video games just like all the others before you who have posted their credentials too. turns out, over the years we found that there are hundreds of job positions that make people authorities on how blizzard works.
btw, “master of science in industrial engineering and management” doesnt make you immune to flat earthers either. im sure your precious little title is worn by some of them too. not sure why youd bring up your completely unrelated credentials lol…
pfft people mentioning that patent over and over never been able not only prove its being used
they never answered a simple question
why would blizzard need to use it ?
the only cash only items are cosmetic
anyone can find someone using those cosmetics in game eventually just by playing
sites like VS and hsreplay have decklists
youtubers and streamers on switch use meta decks or make videos about the best cards in any given meta
there is no need for them to use it tier list and dek lists are really easy to find
As mijuIRL said:
And yet we’ve yet to see any of this data. My question is, if these websites support your argument, why not link them instead of telling us about imaginary data and websites?
I also don’t understand how people deny the patterns that many other players have noticed. Since there are so many similar circumstances and all. Its always chalked up that person just being salty. Hmm
Not only is this a failing attempt to make others feel inferior, but the second part “not worth my time” is a sure sign of you feeling like you’re backed into a corner. You know you have about as much data as the person/people you’re arguing against so it’s “not worth your time.”
Sorry, just “breaking your entire argument into tiny pieces with how poorly formulated it is” and pointing out your flaws. You might want to get over that superiority complex. You’ll only hurt yourself with it.
because the last time this was brought up and pointed out, then the obvious troll above and others went deep down the rabbit hole about blizzard bribing every website that analyze hs data big time so they wouldnt reveal the proof that the game was rigged.
so no, its not worth my time to pointing out the flaws in arguments he has copied and pasted over and over for the last year.
