I disagree. draw effects, healing, forms of control, playing for board- these are all pretty basic effects in tcg style dueling games. I don’t think a particular class should be locked out of a basic tcg kind of mechanic for the sake of class identity. even more niche kinds of tcg mechanics, like ramping and hand disruption, have been available to lesser degrees outside of druid and warlock respectively- I think that’s fine and enjoy that. druid may have a little too much draw right now, but I’m still not sure if I agree with that.
Well, it has only been as of late that class bleed was so prevalent in this game, and I think it has been for the worse.
Players came to this game because of it’s scaled back design, and clear cut playstyles, and now, in trying to chase the last possible penny, Team 5 is destroying all that.
as of how late? to think something along the lines of “armor is thematically a core element of warrior, paladin, druid and should not exist outside of these in any cases” is silly and taxing to design around in my opinion. Plated beetle was just a good early game staple in control decks.
bold. I recently returned to the game because I like this meta. I can understand disliking power creep in general, but I find decks that I enjoy now after playing in 2020 when I could only enjoy playing Galakrond rogue.
That’s exactly what I think, though I am ok with weaker neutral cards that impart some class bleed. (like your beetle)
