The devs, wake up!

Are you gong to solve this problem?

Putting card and then go afk without press “Enemy Turn” until the rope ends or player can cancel the rope to go afk twice. This needs to change, the devs!

Whatever you read this, you need to act it now!

This is something i almost never encounter.

If that happens, most likely you play a solitaire deck. People don’t enjoy playing against that… If you play Questlock, Questmage or Questshaman, it is so frustrating experiences for your opponent, they might as well just rope to show you how miserable of a gaming experience you give them… Stop playing such 1 player mode decks and people will be more friendly towards you I am sure.

You have to understand that if you punish your opponent for playing minions and basically the outcome of the game is decided turn 1 already, when people just want to play hearthstone with interaction and interesting gameplay, sitting there and see all your minions die to spells or your opponent never going for board, you just watch them deleting their deck so they deal their fatigue damage to their opponent, is such unfun experience, people refuse to play the game and roping is the only way to show you what you did to them experience wise. Same with shaman if you have a 1 mana spell that clears entire board of minions worth 7 mana and the overload is just unlocked the same turn, so absolute zero downside to that… Can you imagine how frustrating of a gaming experience that can be for your opponent???

Alright, if you are the person that never plays solitaire decks, but Handbuffpaladin, Rushwarrior, homebrewed stuff, then I am a bit surprised and people really shouldn’t rope you, you don’t deserve it. However if you play decks like Questmage, you absolutely deserve being roped for making your opponents play experience so miserable.

A lot of ropers are just bots, spamming hero power to armor up, and extend games as long as possible for the purpose of grinding experience points on the reward tracker.

This has been around for a long while, and developers don’t seem intent on finding any solutions to such situations.

Worst case scenario you just gotta wait a little longer for your win.

For me, I do it to people when they obnoxiously spam their emotes as fast as the system will allow.

Now, for the part where I tell you to quit complaining. Part of the game is in each player being given X amount of time per turn. The game isn’t about speed, it’s about strategy. Many people rope because for one of a couple reasons.

1: They are using a bot that reacts to the rope. I see it a lot. It waits for the rope, then pops their Hero Power before they AFK out of the game. An easy win, to be quite honest.

2: They are frustrated and know you are gonna beat them, so they toss a tantrum (afk for rope). In this case, just wait the extra few seconds and really go overkill. They will either concede or take the smash. Either way, another easy win. This time, you even have rent free space in their heads.

3: They have a terrible internet connection/hit-n-miss quality on mobile. I’ve played on PC, tablet, laptop and phone. If their connection is bad, they lag way behind and seem to take forever. Unfortunately, the system does not account for platform with regards to matchmaking.

4:They are trying to frustrate you into quitting because they know they can’t otherwise.

I’m sure there are more, but you should be able to get the idea here. There’s nothing to complain about on this particular topic, so stop wasting your time being mad and enjoy another win. It’s been rope mode for nearly its entire existence. There’s zero ways to improve upon it. Just be glad they added it way back when. . . and shortened the timer. It was much worse back in the early days.

And, they are losing out on just as much time as you are when they do it.

If you really delve into this issue that you have with it, you will realize that a better option does not exist, that I know of. If you know of one, then please correct me and get them to implement it.

I fully believe each player is free to use their entire turn how they see fit. That being said, bots do exist and since they are against the rules, should be dealt with. Free win or not, facing one is clearly a bad enough experience that we constantly see threads popping up about them.

As long as the people are complaining about actual bots, I’m all for these kind of threads being made.

Just jerk to another page. kinda like edging
