Needs to not be able to trigger literally anything. Should not count as a spell, combo, played a card, played a spell, whatever.
I’ve used this to my advantage as well. This is something that should not happen. They are already getting a coin for going 2nd, there should be no other effects benefited from it.
More over, if you want it to count as a played card, fine, but it MUST be used on first turn.

Normally i would agree… but going second is already known disadvantage. So……..
