Getting absolutely annihilated by most classes, since they can swarm the board so easily around turn 6…
And god… Vanish would have helped so much right now…
before someone comes and says; “Just rush them down…”
Good luck, most classes can survive easily because of all the reborn taunt, healing and AoE’s they got access to.
Also Druid is just… jesus, it’s basically a Token/Control Deck now…
Anyhow, I hope someone will discover a way to Rogues to survive in the upcoming meta - since we’re pretty much glass since Blizzard removed our cannon.
/salt over.

I tried the Pirate/Weapon deck from Vicious Syndicate (with Bloodsail Raiders instead of Faerie Dragons) and it’s kinda busted how fast you can burst people down. Between Scimitar, Wagglepick, and Leeroy, you have a lot of damage potential from hand.
God forbid any rogues from attempting play anything other than tempo rush decks. Because to establish board control means just that one and only option. It gets a bit tired when season after season rogue can only hope to compete with a tempo style deck.
I’m happy it’s gone, I’ve mostly seen Vanish enabling toxic decks. Quest Rogue, Malygos Rogue, Mill Rogue.

Gonna give that a try in the morning
Personally, I think Balmain voiced my annoyance pretty good as well, Rogue pretty much lives and breathes with Tempo… We don’t really get new deck types, while other “Tempo” classes like Hunter has received several new archetypes over the last expansions.
Then we have Burgle Rogue, while fun… it’s just gets tiring being at the mercy of RNG all the time.
We might see some OTK decks coming out in the expansion but… well… several classes establishes a board better than us, survives better than us and the whole “Rogues should be good at dealing with single targets” doesn’t really work when classes such as Mage, Warlock and Druid can create multiply big targets in a single turn.
As for Toxic deck types, Quest and Mill is “gone” (Quest also being nerfed 4 and stealthnerfed once.) and Malygos, while still possible… if you manage to survive, takes ALOT to pull off and without Vanish, it’s hard if not impossible to establish a situation where you are able to pull it off.
Play quest + tess + AE + togwaggle’s scheme and outvalue pretty much any control deck around. That’s the price you have to pay since they nerfed dr. boom.
Hofing vanish waa so fking stupid. A big fku to team 5
because endless card generation and a quest that takes absolutely no effort to complete isnt enough, you need vanish too…

I agree with the HoF as a pure meta decision, but you bring up a good point: What exactly does Rogue do now?
I’m sure this wall of comments has the usual “That’s what you get for playing Tempo Rogue”, but the thing is, that’s a symptom of the larger problem, where Rogue doesn’t have as much flexibility as other classes. It has great removal, maybe the best, but what would a Rogue Control or Aggro even look like? PoGo? I assume we don’t want another Kingsbane.
I’m leaving the game, so I won’t be around to see where this ends up, but I am worried that Rogue is gonna end up like Priest in Wild, where it has one viable archetype (Probably combo/0TK) that everybody hates, but Blizzard has to keep supporting, because they’ve nerfed too many of the (admittedly OP) core Tempo tools that used to define the class.
