I appreciate the work that has been going into lowering the games power level. However, it has not been enough. My interest in playing is lower prior to rotation and the re-balance that came with it. I have no enthusiasm for the up coming miniset. I don’t care that the win rates of decks are close together. As a significant portion of the top decks, or even tier two (looking at you Zarimi priest) have play patterns that just aren’t enjoyable to play against. Holy spell spam/Ursol Paladin, cliff dive Demon Hunter, and harbinger of the blighted Rogue (pick your flavor). I know this isn’t an uncommon sentiment, and I don’t think it needs further elaboration on my part. The piece I want to add is, I don’t want to see power level increased to compete with these decks. Until I see that occur I’m uninstalling. Hoping for a better Heartstone.

A lot of us feel this way. I’m just surprised the usual suspects haven’t jumped on this thread to tell you that your opinion is incorrect
But yeah, the current meta is a non-interactive miserable experience with no hope of being fixed anytime soon
It all boils down to that their games primary focus is centered all around RNG mechanics. They don’t have the skill or ambition to actually develop a game that requires thought or skill like a certain long standing tabletop card game has proven through the years. It’s blizzard, they only know the roll dice style of game play. Years upon years of playing hearthstone is a testament to it.
If you expect anything better, you are delusional at this point.
It’s not RNG though when the game ends on the same turn, the same way almost every time. Look at Zarimi Priest, if you don’t check it by turn 8(7 with coin) it’s very likely you lose. You have beefed up minions? They pulled repackage at some point, just one beefy taunt minion? They pulled voljin. Both these cards they can get with tech cards to get from the deck, where’s the RNG?
Edit: It’s not a great deck, it just the deck plays itself with all these “get x card from your deck” whether it’s a spell or minion
I just lost to Zarimi priest again, got OTKd from 70 health and with 3 taunts up. Have lost countless games like this in the past few weeks and worst of all: it is so mindnumbingly boring. I added dirty rat to all my decks because of it but if you don’t get lucky you just lose, nothing you can do about it, while they consistently get their OTK out on turn 8. Horrible playpattern, horrible design. Thanks Blizz.
As I just said, there’s no RNG involved, it doesn’t matter if they draw their miracle combo, they just tech the cards into their hand with cards like Birdwatching and Scale Replica
