Terrible balancing

The balance in Hearthstone’s Wild mode is absolutely terrible. How exactly does the balancing work? Is it considered “balanced” as long as Druid, Priest, Warlock, Mage, and Warrior are completely broken? Do you have some kind of hatred toward the other classes?

Rogue rarely gets a decent deck that doesn’t depend on the game’s ridiculous RNG manipulation to win, and whenever it finally gets one, it gets nerfed almost immediately, just days after the deck is created. But Priest playing the opponent’s deck for free and stealing cards from the entire deck is perfectly fine for you?

Druid killing the opponent on turn 4 with a direct-damage combo is okay, but Quasar Rogue isn’t? I’m honestly starting to miss the broken Warlock deck that could discard your entire deck by turn 2. At least those games were quick.

I can’t take these endless games against immortal Mage anymore, freezing me 99,999,999 times while the game drags on forever. I’ve already wasted money on this game, and now I’m not even allowed to have fun?

I want an answer, and I want one soon, because I’m seriously considering quitting this game for good. The balancing is ridiculous. Is it really necessary to release completely broken Legendary cards in every expansion? Of course, if the broken card belongs to Rogue, it won’t even survive two days.

I’m tired of seeing this ridiculous, manipulated game constantly favoring Druid, a class that apparently has everything: decks from every other class, infinite mana, infinite armor, infinite card generation, infinite buffs, infinite Taunts, infinite spells, infinite aggression, infinite Hero Attack, infinite ways to burn the opponent’s deck — basically everything all the other classes combined have, and then some.

And Mage? Why not add a warning before the match starts saying: “Your opponent is playing Infinite Steal/Control. Prepare to waste your time in an endless, boring match.” At least then players could concede immediately instead of wasting their time.

For God’s sake, reduce whatever kind of game manipulation you are using to force a 55% win rate. It is ridiculous that I can practically predict exactly what I’m going to draw based on how many games I’ve won or lost. It feels like the game is deliberately forcing the most absurd possible outcome.

And what about these absurd prices? Congratulations, here’s your “reward”: a chance to get one garbage card for free after climbing the ranked ladder, while legendary cards are locked behind ridiculously expensive purchases.

This game is truly something. Maybe in ten years, when I finally manage to collect half a dozen decent cards, I’ll be able to have fun building a deck — only to become yet another player using one of the three meta decks over and over again.

Is that really what you want Hearthstone to be? Is this the players’ fault for playing the same decks, or has the game’s lack of variety really become so severe that we’re supposed to see the same three decks for 200 games in a row?

This is ridiculous. The game desperately needs better balance, more variety, and far less of whatever hidden manipulation is making matches feel predetermined.

I agree with the title, but to complain about rogue getting the shaft…

they don’t force 55% win rate

your average win rate is 55% because you are above average player. on average you are being matched against lower skilled people than you because people who are more skilled than you are smaller in number compare to people who are less skilled than you.

so to maintain your rank you need to win more than 50% of the time. for your skill level the win rate to maintain one’s rank happen to be 55%

if you were average player you would only need to win 50% of the time to maintain your rank. or if you were below average player you would need less than 50% win rate to maintain your rank.

I agree with you. Death Knight also feels really strange. Sometimes I shuffle 50 Plagues into my opponent’s deck and they don’t draw a single one, but as soon as they’re below 50% health, they suddenly draw all of them.

Don’t expect balance in wild… wild is wild.. it will never be balanced…

Wth Blizzard, you shouldn’t expect a balanced game regardless of the format, just look at the garbage state of Standard mode.

This game has become the perfect game for morons.

but sometimes there are cards that almost all by themselves pretty much ruin the game. mysterious visitor is one of them. to have your deck used against you to beat you on turn 4 with no mana used is simply hogwash. cards like the hero reno card that has massive impact with no downside is absolutely bad game design and now warrior can have two of them. there was a time that a reno deck meant you had to make serious deck building choices. that time has obviously passed so there is zero downside that simply evaporates the opponent.

the number of OTK decks is crazy. the game is more or less just RNG solitaire. i got my first card back in season 2 of the game.

power creep is hardly even the word for it anymore. remember when the WotLK hero cards came out? they broke the game. that are hardly ever played anymore.

and look at the neutral legendary card Yogg Saron Unleashed for 9 mana. “take control of a minion” is one of its three abilities and it is a body on the board with things it can do on subsequent turns for no mana (if it lives of course).

compare that to the priest “mind control” spell for nine mana.

yes, blizz very occasionally bans a card from wild.

i would love to see how many people play wild v standard. i don’t play standard because I can’t keep up with all the new cards. that requires money, in my opinion.

i guess the lack of “balance” in wild is the actual price we pay for being FTP…

first of all the strongest class in wild right now is demon hunter deck

second, rogue almost always had top notch deck in standard and wild

and you actually see all classes in wild except death knight

and quasar rogue was often finishing opponents by turn 2. it got nerfed for good

It’s called WILD for a reason…do you not know how the modes work??? Did you read their description?

The poor balance is intentional and aimed at maximizing profits and psychological manipulation of the players, it is not a mistake, Blizzard has been using this type of techniques for years and is under investigation and lawsuits for this as well as other things.

Wild isn’t balanced because then more people would play it.

more wild players means less packs sold during expansions, as your deck may not need anything new.

Less packs sold is less vacations for activation executives.

Wild is intentionally left to rot.
