Tech vs plague bombs and fatigue! new card

Legendary · Minion · The Great Dark Beyond · Battlecry: Replace your deck with an endless portal of Demons. Each turn, they gain an additional +2/+2.

oh and because your deck is replaced by a portal shuffling cards into your deck wont do a thing because you can only draw random demons from it

He is neutral
Taelin that can tutor him is neutral
Basically any class can just do some sort of all-in demon deck (if your class has synergies all the better). Fill rest of your deck with draws and early stalls so you survive to turn 7, then hope for the best afterwards.

…something tells me this will be more popular than whatever its power level suggest because it’s just so simple to build and probably to pilot.

He’s no swiss army knife like Marin or consistent like asta, but maybe better than ignis? RNG demons is forever whereas RNG weapon keywords is one time, but without draw you’ll rely on top decks a lot.

A question/clarification: I assume this portal will work with draw effects, so say if you’re a lock or reno with the draw hero power, when you do any draw, the portal spits out a demon

Another clarification is whether “each turn” +2/+2 applies at the start or the end of your turn. It’s a slight difference if you say have a gold panner on board, or if enemy makes you draw on their turn.

Yet another question/clarification: would effects that “discover/summon/etc from your deck” or effects that have to look into your deck (oh I dunno… joust in wild?) still work, and just give you a choice of random demons? Or they just give nothing?

Portal gets wiped off the board by reno. Card is unplayable. Insta concede the moment reno hits the board. You’re blowing up your own deck doing this.

Edit: Starships get deleted by reno too by the way.

Pretty sure the Portal covers your deck slot so it’s not on board.

If it does put a portal on board it’s certainly weaker.

If it works like that then how many demons do you get each turn? Just one? So no card draw, just one card per turn? Still seems questionable.

Here’s your answer. I was 100% correct on how it works. Very Powerful.

Bye Bye Plague, Bomb and Boss decks.

you can draw cards with card effects but theyll always be demons
for example play flowerchild and you get 6 mana or mor demons

play the draw a 5 mana minion neutral and you get a 5 or mor mana demon

reno cant affect deck reno is useless vs killjaeden

This is fantastic. Can’t wait to tech this against some decks.

Ok, so it does work from the deck slot. It means you can’t fatigue, but it also means you’re just getting one generic minion per turn. By the late game you want to be pushing to close out games. This is an infinite value generator, but you only get one card per turn, and you delete any removal spells you may have had. Some demons are big, but others are small. It ramps their size each turn that passes, but do you really wanna be dropping a single big fatty every turn after turn 10 with no more removal coming to hand?

It’s got a lot of flavor people will like, but I can only rate it 2 out of 5 on power level. It doesn’t feel that scary to me, and I’ll be shocked if it sees much play after the first few weeks.

Control LOVES this card.

We’ll see. Control also loves removal spells, and once it plays this it never gets any more of those for the rest of the game. It doesn’t love drawing a single big minion when the opponent is able to build a board in a single card. Druid will be the only class capable of maybe using this. The meta isn’t slowing down. Dungaar druid is still popping off on 5 and 6. reno druid is still doing straza mana cheat. And big spell mage is still exploding on turn 5. This isn’t helpful into any of those strategies, nor is it good into shamans horn of the windlord razzler dazzler stuff. I’m firm on my stance here. It sees fringle play but it isn’t that strong.

Finally, a complete anti-fatigue card and there’s no way to get rid of it, right?

I would assume this card would return your deck to normal. You would have to play it though. Imagine the fun with Tony’s old wording.

I’m not sure the vanilla demon per turn is going to cut it.

It’s decent counter to bomb or plagues but both of those things are like tier 3 or tier 4 strategies, which would seem to lump this (being a counter to those) into the same tier.

A pity.

It should definitely discount the demons, maybe by 2 or 3 mana to be a solid card.

It is a good post Wheel card. But, a bit niche for sure.

If you play it, do you no longer have a deck?

So what happens if you play Kiljaeden, then Tony, then shuffle stuff into your deck?

Do you have a deck + Kiljaeden portal + draw cards from your deck? I’m so confused lol
