god do i hate this type of card design, play a single card to get infinite value, at least dont make them scale if you completely remove fatigue from the game…
They BOTH say “Replace your Deck”. My assumption is your deck is still there just in another form. Meaning that both cards are changing how the idea of a “Deck” works. So Tony should replace the portal if played after Kil is played and makes your deck a copy of the opponents now.
I would 100% agree with you that it’s not worth it for that reason. However the fact that they are becoming larger each turn. Not to mention Archimonde is a fantastic card to play late game and you can discover it making it possible to keep filling the board with demons.
It’s really good though for other control decks to counter the decks playing to exploit control decks. Now they have a solid counter back at them.
The most important thing is that there is an unrevealed card that combos with this card and basically guarantees victory. When you see it and it’s a DK card you will understand.
maybe tony can copy the portal
your deck gets removed youll never get a card you shuffle into it thats why is so good at countering boomboss you play it before bomboos is played and turns it into a vanilla minion because youll never draw the TNT he shuffles into your deck
no more mill druid in wild, my deck is now infinite
Yeah i think Tony sees more play. The true power of this card will become evident when they do the DK reveals. Everyone is going to hate Blood DK really badly.
More like Kil’BAEden.
Ehhh…I’m not 100% sure on that card. It does look good at face value though. This definitely counters that as well.
It’s a solid combo IMO for ending the game.
Bleh…cut off the original post editing it. The DR minion could work if it’s by card and not name.
It says a different minion so it cannot trigger itself.
Yes and no. I am curious if it means THAT card or if you copy it and play one can you get the original and keep bringing them back.
If it’s that specific named card you could do it with the Amalgam i think spreading it’s DR to the amalgam.
It absolutely will not summon itself, I can guarantee that. If you spread the DR from amalgam onto it, it will just keep rezzing Amalgams (or other minions)
If you put the DR onto the Amalgam, you would end up with Amalgam summoning the big guy, the big guy summoning an Amalgam, and you end up cluttering your deck.
What about spreading it to Another DR other than amalgam? They would just keep bouncing each other back into play? It would have to be on turn 10 to play all 3 cards though. The other DR being a 1 cost DR minion of course.
No, the other minion would summon the big guy, the big guy would summon the other DR, and the new DR minion it summons would no longer have the DR of the big guy.
When the big guy summons the other DR who died, the new summon doesn’t retain.
There’s never an unending loop of taunt DR you can’t get rid of.
Well I guess it ought to be time to make the Elwynn Boar part of the core set lol. add in some more cloning tech cards while you;re at it.
also, i didnt read the thread yet, just saw the initial post so apologies if its already been discussed, what happens if you end up playing this guy twice/trigger its battlecry twice? Just wanna make sure my intuition as to what happens is on the same page as others here.
Okay yeah i forgot they don’t retain like the amalgam.
Kil’Jaeden? It just makes the portal twice. Nothing happens in game really it’s just a graphical thing that occurs.
but would the +x/+x each turn stack?
No, His effect is a replacement effect so the second cancels out the first.
Yeah, it’s a bummer. They do go in the deck and you get a perma version in there. But overall, you really don’t want it summoning Amalgam. That will really screw your deck over in the long run.
If it works like how I think it works, you should be able to play Wheel of Death afterwards and still have the endless demons.
I fully expect Druid and DK and Warlock to be nuking it out for the title of best Kil’Jaden control.
