EDIT: I made this thread not knowing of the coming changes.
Anyone else hate the Quest system now?
Almost no agency, and every quest takes twice as long to complete.
F2P… sure.

Before or after dark beyond launches cause right now all the quests(daily/weekly/event) are so easy I get free stuff and like them as is.
Or did you mean achievements cause I don’t hunt those.
No, I mean the Quest system. Ever since they “improved” it.
The Quests take twice to three times as long, and the agency is non existent. Team 5 punishes players for not playing whatever stupid garbage they are currently pushing down everyone’s throats.
I personally hate it.
Have you stopped doing them?
They’re reverting It don’t they ?
And i personally stopped caring about the quests. I Just roll to the most generic ones and play whatever i want.
I have not heard this anywhere.
But they should. The Quest system is a joyless chore now.
They’re reverting starting next exp from what i heard.
That wasn’t a rhetorical question.
I hope that’s true. The system stinks.
It used to be casual and fairly rewarding. Now it just illustrates how greedy and cheap the corporation has become.
I personally hope they increase the requirements by 10x and decrease the rewards by 10x so I can play 100x more than I currently do
I hope you get the game you so richly deserve.
I agree. I think as soon as they kill off HS for good maybe they can reset and work on something better. Like making a Hearthstone 2 utilizing all of their properties and not just Warcraft
I’m not sure what this means. Explain?
i think you misread the announcement
posted this without playing HS because it feels something somene would post after they mess with the quests again
The only thing I know of they did was make the quests harder to complete for the same rewards.
They also have made a limited system that pushes whatever feature they are interested in promoting.
ie: trying to make players engage in unpopular, or less popular cards, keywords, or formats.
Have they, or are they, doing something different that I am unaware of?
Your facts are completely wrong here.
They increased the xp awarded for the quests, so it is a greater reward.
Most of the quests are easier to complete - play 10 games instead of win 10 games, for example.
But it’s all moot as they are reverting back to the previous system.
Did not know they are reverting. Glad to see this. Thank you for the information.
“Those who did work to complete the Weekly Quests told us they saw them as a chore.”
Thrilled to know they do listen.
I’m not sure I like the change to get packs as opposed to gold in the early part of the track. Your thoughts?
You understand that they are referring to the initial versions of the new quests, which were nerfed in a very short time, right?
For example, it was initially “win 15 games of hearthstone” that was changed to “play ten game” which is insanely good.
It’s reverting to the orginal “win 5 games” with a lower payout each week. It’s not a good change for players, it’s a change for their wallets.
I’m actually ok with this part. I like the quests being more casual, even if the reward is less. I admit winning is harder than playing. I think I have a bigger problem with packs instead of gold in the early track, but I guess dust works for me too.
Can you imagine after the fiasco that happened last time to have the audacity to announce to the players who outcried about it “well it goes back anyway”?
That means the lead dev who wrote that can’t be that stupid; or at least the probability is low; the outcry was too obvious to be unnoticed.
Therefore the most likely scenario is that higher-up Executives put the boot down and enforced it just cause.
