I tried installing Hearthstone on my old Archos 80 Titanium (Android) tablet. Downloading and installing the game worked fine, and I could start the game. However, when I was asked to connect to my account, the login page didn’t show, and instead I got an error page saying “Web Page Not Available”. After searching for solutions in forums, I came to the conclusion that this would be caused by the version of Android (4.1) being too old. And indeed the documented system requirements for Hearthstone on Android systems says that Android 5.0 is required.
If this is a hard requirement and you have no intention to solve the compatibility issue with older versions on Android (which I perfectly understand), then please set the requirement for the minimum version of Android in Playstore directly. This will avoid that users download and install 4 GB of data just to end up with a huge disappointment. Allowing people to download such a large amount of data when they will not be able to play the game in the end is a sad waste of resources for all parties involved. Thanks.
