Stuck on loading screen on EU region(Can\t play the game)

Hello games,

A week ago I wanted to start playing Hearthstone again. So I downloaded the game and Battle net . I used to play on the EU region, on this same PC so I wasn’t expecting to have any issues. As my PC is more than capable to handle the game.

But as soon as the installation finished I ran into some problems. To be more specific. I get stuck on the loading screen, and no matter how long I wait the game will never start.

To make things even more confusing I can play the game on the American region just fine. I tried contacting support and created a ticket. I got a couple of guides(check minimum system requirements for Hearthstone, delete the Hearthstone option files, and ISP troubleshooting) from tech support, and after trying then out nothing changed. So I was advised to post here and ask for help.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? And if so what should I do to get back to my EU region? As it would really suck if I lose all of the progress I made in the game.

Hey there,

It definitely sounds like something is stuck somewhere. Ultimately you may need to submit a support ticket in order to have the Hearthstone account refreshed, but lets try something first.

  1. Press Windows key + R
  2. Type the following into the Run window: %APPDATA%
  3. Delete the Battle.net and Blizzard folders inside the appdata folder if they exist.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 with %LOCALAPPDATA% and %TEMP%
  5. Empty the recycle bin.

Now download and run the Battle.net desktop app installer again. Once it’s installed try launching Hearthstone again.

If that doesn’t work you may want to try creating a new administrator account in Windows, log in with that new account, then see if Hearthstone will load up properly in your correct region.

Please go ahead and submit a support ticket if the issue is still occurring after doing the above.
