Can anyone confirm if the choice matters? Do the rewards differ?
You get a different hero skin at the end depending on your choice. The other 2 will be available in store
Thanks for the answer, do you get to preview before choosing one? Edit: Ah, I see. There is a slight preview if you actually click on them.
i chose protoss, its a good looking one
I was about to get Kerrigan, because I thought it would look pretty, but I looked again and it’s a disgusting version of my avatar.
Looks fine from the neck down, and then you see that goofy face… wtf.
Does the choice have an impact on the daily quests? E.g. when I pick Protoss I also get quests to play Protoss cards and have to choose one of the corresponding classes?
my phone literally cannot handle shudderblock + raynor it crashes out every time xp
but seriously shudderblocking ghost is really funny, deleted a mages collosi and a DKs zerg cards
“My wife for hire!” (OG Starcraft)
Yes. It will dictate what minions you have to summon for the weekly quest, unknown after the first one.
Its just a hero skin, so pick the hero you like.
The quests will be based on the faction, so the classes with that faction will be the focus.
Prepare for the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set - Hearthstone
Has descriptions of the groups and what classes are in each.
I picked Terran in a brain fart thinking that was the hunter choice. Is there a way for me to change it before I start doing the quests?
Does anybody have a breakdown of the Week 1 quests for this?
(i.e. Terran quest is… Zerg quest is… Protos quest is…)
Blizzard has a nasty habit of making the quests dependent on specific cards in the mini-set (worst when it’s a Legendary) that F2P players might not have. So, I’m trying to be smart about where to invest my dust.
Terran quest is 400, summon 200 terran minions (marines count 3x)
Okay. That’s not so bad.
It is likely the same for the other two, and enough at common/rare I can make that work. So, deciding comes down to deck brewing for Standard.
Maybe I’ll hold off for a bit, and jam in some Twist while I still can.
By next week, what direction the meta is taking should be clearer.
Thanks!
Play a dedicated deck in Casual and you’ll have it in no time. Especially since there are lots of players doing this. For Protoss you need to play or destroy 200 Protoss minions.
I already did that. Was fun too, with the new cards.
Bad idea, it has lower XP and doesn’t even give achievement credit.
Just play 2 formats, unless you go for legend in both (why tho).
After cracking some packs, and remembering that I have Shudderblock, Terran Shaman was a no brainer. Not enough dust for Jim, but The Exodar is a pretty sweet placeholder for him. Hope this deck works as well as I think it will.
It’s not as great at it seems. By round ~7 various opponents already have the board they need and their hand is not that sensitive to deletions.
Or rather the truth is closer to: it’s good but it’s not as OP as it sounds because the same decks without Shudderblock have similar win rate.
In fact I just did a quick checking of the stats and the best terran shamans drop the card (they’re not TOO different though at win rate).
I think the reason is from the little I saw the deck that Shudderblock is often drawn but the battlecries might not be there or vice versa.
Will the factions skin you choose be available in the store too?
