Standard set cards are also showing up in wild set

When the Forged in the Barrens expansion came out, I decided to disenchant every wild card to fund some new cards. I always do this when a new expansion arrives. But this time, after I have done disenchanting every wild set card, I realized all of my standard set cards are gone as well. I opened a ticket about the issue, and they told me they can’t do anything about it. Clearly Blizzard just don’t care about their own mistakes and their community. I decided to no longer play the game anymore, but leaving this here so others won’t experience something like this.

Certainly you missed a big post about new year rotation with words “basic and classic were rotated as well”.

Does that really explain why standard set cards show up in wild collection?

Yes. On every year rotation some standard sets are always go to wild-only. This year the list of gone sets includes Basic and Classic. Watch the news.

Well, I think I expressed myself wrong. I know that some cards are removed from standard and moved to wild set, but the issue is, the cards I’m talking about are showed up BOTH in standard and wild set. That’s why I disenchanted them all and after that I realised they were also in standard. I would share a screenshot if I could, but the posting rules won’t allow me.

Pay attentions to watermarks. Cards with the same names and art from now can be in different card sets. In standard came Core set which includes some reprinted old cards. You cannot disenchant cards from the Core set. How to post screenshots is written in sticky topic.

That still will not explain why standard cards are visible in wild set. For example, Tenwu of the Red Smoke is still in standard, but when I open my collection and click to wild set from bottom left and open crafting window, I can see Tenwu in wild. This is the issue I’m talking about. You are still missing my point.

Well, if you make a wild deck, you use cards from your wild collection, and that includes the cards in Standard. It would be pretty dumb if you had to switch between two collections just to make one deck (which is something you can’t do, or even need to do since all cards are already available).

Like I said, I do this whenever a new expansion is released. I just open the wild set and disenchant everything since they are not in standard anymore (hall of fame and removed expansions). I don’t recall having this kind of problem before, because I thought wild set wouldn’t include standard cards. That explains why my standard cards are gone. Damn

Same issue here. I disenchant my wild cards when the sets flip over because I only play standard. I just disenchanted a bunch of “wild” legendaries to get some dust for the new expansion. When I was about to create a new standard deck, I realized that a bunch of those cards I just disenchanted were in the standard set. They were incorrectly marked as wild.

I don’t know if this is as designed, but the game also lists a lot of cards as BOTH wild AND classic.

If this issue with the standard cards marked as wild is not fixed then I might not ever play again, and I’ve been playing this game since the beta.

Haven’t standard cards always shown up under the “Wild” filter since all cards are available for use in wild except the Legacy set which was just introduced?

No. Every year when the sets rotate I would disenchant all Wild cards to make Standard decks. This year I expected to do the same but they made Standard cards appear under the Wild section.

Yes, they have. How else would you be able to make a deck in Wild using Standard cards?

By switching over to the Standard section.

You can’t switch between modes when making a deck, so either you’d make a Wild deck without any Standard cards or a Standard deck without any Wild cards. And trust me, my Wild decks always had new Standard cards in them.

I did not say anything about switching between modes. There have always been sections designating which cards are in which sets. This time they have decided to combine Standard cards into the Wild section.

I came searching for an answer to this as well. I always disenchant wild cards (except for some favorites), but when I set the filter to wild, I noticed some of the brand new cards showed up. Filters are supposed to filter, and they obviously aren’t. Just the same as filtering by a specific card set shouldn’t show other set cards. Not sure why everyone replying is so confused by the OP. I’m just happy someone else noticed this issue…

Wild includes all cards, not sure why that’s so difficult to understand.

It does filter properly.

When you filter for standard, all non standard cards are hidden.

When you filter for wild, all non wild cards are hidden.

The kicker is that standard cards can be used in wild.
So, OBVIOUSLY they would not filter out.

Please learn to filter before saying the filter is broke.

P.s Wild is not a set. It is a collection of sets.

You can filter card sets that you know aren’t in standard such as grand tournament.

This just happened to me too. Very horrible decision to change this and trick people into disenchanting their cards. So how can you filter for wild and not standard cards now if like me you want to dust wild and stick to standard?
