I disenchanted a lot of cards before I realized the issue and I cant even build a deck to play in standard so until this is fixed I guess I won’t be playing
i got tricked the same…this is something new and dont know why this was changed…before when you only browsed collection when you filtered to “wild cards” you would get an exclusion of all the standard cards so people that play standard only can just DE the wild cards…now it shows all cards when you filter wild…
and to the brainiac that says “duuuh but how would you then make a deck for wild”…just as you did last 8 years…when you start creating new deck, you press “convert to wild” and boom…only THEN you should see all the standard and wild cards mixed together, and not while just browsing your collection
this WAS changed recently…not sure why
No, this was never a thing. When you clicked the Wild section, wether in your Collection or deckbuilding, you’d see every card usable in Wild, and that includes Standard. And it has been like this since the introduction of Wild.
then how did i not disenchant all my cards since after every rotation i just pressed “wild” and d.e. everything that was under wild tab and still saved my whole standard collection? and no, obviously i wasnt left with just “cannot be disenchanted” cards
btw…i didnt play last 3 expansions…i been playin for 6 years…i come back now…disenchant cards in the wild tab what i usually do every rotation and notice that i did de an standard card as well…first time in 6 years i noticed this happening…so i then google the problem and find this thread that says since forged in barrens came out this is happening to people…and you still are trying to convince everyone that they are hallucinating that it was always like this
even the filter tooltips says
“Standard - can be used in Standard and Wild formats”
“Wild - contains cards from all expansions. Can ONLY be used in the wild format”
how did i then disenchant a card that can be used in standard format as well?
All includes recent expansions.
let it go dood you are talking out of your a55
Blizzard sucks so hard, not just the support but also their games.
Bornaa is right, same happened to now and back then. But I didn’t realize cuz I was not that active.
So I kept playing.
And I’ve been playing Hearthstone since 2014 and decided to stop playing it now after I realize this stupid trick to make people dust their cards. Obviously a plan of yours, you thought they would buy packs or something ? Nah we just leave.
You just could show a big warning to people before they intented to disenchant the wilds. I don’t have to follow the posts. I just log in and play.
So yes that’s what happened so I disenchanted all my wild cards accidently with the thought of they were only playable in wild format, which actually makes people think like that if you show them in wild format, right?
Try to justify yourself as much as you want, it’s your fault.
Your post LITERALLY saved me from getting into this game again.
I logged on after a few years to see if I could hop in again. I went into my collection and IMMEDIATELY proceeded to DE’ing all the wild cards as I imagined they were ONLY good for wild and out of STANDARD rotation as I ALWAYS have done before. I thought i was going crazy when I saw cards showing up in Wild/Standard filters alike. I’ve played the game since beta through the expansion PRIOR to the Barrens expansion, So I knew something was off whenever I logged in this time around and noticed that. Needless to say, muscle memory pulled me to DE ALL my WILD card sets only to find out a good chunk of them still exist in STANDARD.
I think it’s a measure to make the game less easier to get into for previous players such as myself to come right back in and craft a deck without paying a buck for new packs by mingling WILD cards with the STANDARD filter.
I know you can still DE the specific cards out of rotation but I know it wasn’t that difficult before.
anywho, thank you for saving me from this game!
I’m sorry that you made this mistake.
However, you are mistaken in your assumption that this has changed. It has not. I have played this game since Naxxramas, without break. And ever since the introduction of the Standard / Wild separation, the Wild collection filter has always shown all cards that are playable in Wild.
It never was difficult. At the start of a new year, just use the set selector to select one of the three rotating sets in sequence and then disenchant all cards. Rinse, repeat twice more.
Although I always advice against dusting old cards. Are you really sure you never want to play Wild? Never want to play Twist? And don’t want the best decks in Tavern Brawls where Wild cards are allowed?
I love how everyone jumps in to correct the thread starter. He’s right. In my opinion Blizzard messed up the wording or has options in place which make no sense.
When selecting “Wild Cards” from the bottom left option in your Collection and you hover above it, it says "Contains cards from all expansions. Can only be used in the Wild format.. Well, no. I’m sure I can play Helya or The Primus in the Standard format.
Why include them in here ? And don’t give me that “bUt ThE wIlD fOrMaT iNcLuDeS sTaNdArD sO tHiS iS cOrReCt” bullcrap. Why have the “Standard Cards” and “Wild Cards” separation then ? Just make it “Cards”. Really, really dumb.
