Not surprised they are reluctant to post here with the amount of general nastiness they are forced to deal with.

They are constructive criticisms to be made but they have a pretty difficult job and I do like the general direction the game is travelling in at this current point in time.

I would like more random shakeup like the wild event, as non-ideal as that meta was, it could have been fixed with more active balancing, something they have improved at a lot in recent months.

Disgruntled people replying is perfectly normal.

It would be nice if they could steer away from ‘new’ stuff when their main game is falling apart at the seams.

Hey everyone! I spent some time today going through community feedback and interntal statistics for the Standard metagame. Wanted to share some thoughts on where we are now and where we might be headed in the near future.

Still seeing healthy fluctuation in terms of deck power levels every day. Here are some metrics for the best decks over the last four days. Data represents top 1% of players, which is approximately Rank 3 to Legend.

• Aggro Warrior – 54.5%

• Galakrond Warrior – 54.0%

• Highlander Hunter – 53.7%

• Mech Paladin – 52.9%

Feb 9

• Quest Hunter – 54.2%

• Galakrond Warrior – 54.0%

• Highlander Hunter – 53.9%

• Rezz Priest – 53.6%

• Galakrond Rogue – 53.0%

Feb 10

• Galakrond Warrior – 55.0%

• Mech Paladin – 53.7%

• Rezz Priest – 53.3%

• Quest Hunter – 53.1%

• Combo Priest – 55.4%

• Galakrond Warrior – 54.3%

Other Notes:

Aggro Shaman is performing very well, though the game sample sizes aren’t quite high enough to be able to say for sure. On 2/10, it was actually the highest win-rate deck at 55.9%. The deck has fluctuated between around 15th all the way to 1st so we imagine it’s true power level in the current meta lies somewhere in between.

Embiggen Druid continues to have a high population despite performing just above average. As far as individual card power goes, it might make more sense to start calling this deck ‘Strength in Numbers Druid’ .

The meta for lower rank players looks quite a bit different in roughly the same time period.

Here are the current top 5 decks for Ranks 10-15.

• Mech Paladin

• Face Hunter

• Token Druid

• Embiggen Druid

• Highlander Hunter

It’s normal for metas to look differently at different levels of play, but over time we usually see a trickle down effect from the higher level of play. That is to say that the meta above will probably look closer to the top 1% meta today given enough time.

We don’t have any plans for changes on the immediate horizon, but we plan to circle back in a few weeks to see if there are any changes we want to make as a result of Galakrond’s Awakening cards or changes that might be necessary looking forward into the next expansion.

For Battlegrounds, we have a change for Floating Watcher that is planned to go out tomorrow and a larger scale update planned in the near future.

For Wild, we’re looking at some of the nerfs we made to cards that rotate into Wild with the next expansion and seeing if we want to revert any of them. Will have more updates on that soon ™. Good luck and have fun!

And shaman players how is it ?? If you are speaking well of the shaman class as a whole, in wild mode: it is complete rubbish! Is it possible to recover my money to invest in the class to invest in others ?? How do I have fun playing shaman in wild mode ?? Is it possible to recover my money invested in the class to invest in another ??

First: I only play wild mode and you? I place a bet that you don’t even play in this mode !! Second: What is your rank? (Since you don’t even play in this mode, your rank doesn’t matter anymore!) I got to the diamond on the 2nd of this month, but I couldn’t win in sequence, so I stopped playing … and another, I don’t play more than shaman! Shaman in the wild is complete garbage, there is no deck that works! (Playing only as a warlock! I regret investing in shaman to be the crap that it has become today!)

Just went from Platinum 5 to Diamond 10 with Murloc Shaman!

In two days I arrived at the diamond, big deal! And another one every shaman I face I obliterate, it’s a shame! Warlock better than Shaman.

I dont play wild, but looking at the statistics of other people that do play wild, I can assume Firemancer Flurgl put Murloc Shaman above the top competitively in Wild.

If you don’t play in this mode, why are you talking about something you don’t know ?? Are you stupid by any chance ?? Shaman does not work in wild mode, I only played as a shaman and today I am playing a warlock game, is it hard to understand ?? (I knew you don’t play in this mode! I don’t understand how people who don’t know anything talk like they’re right ??)

Murloc Shaman I OBLITER, in any match I come to play! Murloc Shaman = TRASH! My highlander warlock deck OBLITERA any Murloc Shaman deck! (You don’t even play in this mode and keep talking nonsense …)

I really feel that an update like this is awesome. It gives the community a snapshot as to where things stand in the current meta. Really great information to have. And it provides a level of engagement that the player base really enjoys.

I’m really looking forward to when the next ONE coming out… crickets.

I don’t know man. On one hand, an update would be nice. However, on the other hand, he made it through the entire post without going out of his way to say that control warriors don’t have a win condition. Do we really want to invite him to say more and risk ruining it? It’s very risky

In Battlegrounds, will you ever be bringing back Interrogator Whitemane? It was the only real counter to beasts builds (with the Macaw and Baron Rivendare and Leapfrogger combo) which are, in my opinion, pretty broken and op right now. I tried countering it with Leroy Jenkins and Zapp Slywick to no avail.
