that would completely murder the card, and mage is already trash in Wild, so you must be a terrible player if this nerf isn’t enough for you. This kills the otk deck. You will be fine.
I can’t wait for them to print a card which has an effect that nullifies card text which says “but not less than (1)” for the rest of the game, I imagine it’ll appear in about 2 years
If it is playable in mage you can forget it.
I have given up on this design team. They simply cannot do anything impartially. They are flatly incapable of leaving their bias at the door when they work.
Mage can’t otk. But Druid can, and Rogue can, and Pally can and Warrior can.
Mage can’t burn from hand. But Rogue can, and Priest can and god knows who else can.
Mage can only discover random, and copy garbage. over and over until hopefully, the opponent gets bored and quits.
The design team is incompetent.
Good nerf, but the card isn’t dead, now it’s just used for what it was created for: to give you an early cheaper spell for advantage. The OTK innovation came later in wild, just another example of how wild can enable some combos that break the game.
I’m not a fan of otk decks that shut the opponent out, and I don’t mind the nerf, but having said that, do you know how many OTK decks there are in Wild?
Why can they exist, but not mage? Why is mage only ever the problem class when there are way more sickening things in other classes?

There are a lot, but I think SA was the cheapest. If you have the combo in hand, you can execute on turn 4 or 5. SA costs only 2, copy it with another 2 cost, and then everything after that basically costs 0. And in wild, there are just too many ways to draw through your whole deck to get the combo you need early. Skilled players almost always had it by turn 5. Even aggro can’t compete with that.
It still stings when other classes have gotten zero nerfs for years.
Rogue has at least 5 or 6 viable decks in wild.
Mage has possibly two.
The least they could have done was un-nerf something else.

It’s becoming really ridiculous. I suspect they refuse to balance cards for mage, and so best just to keep the class crappy so no one plays it.
Playing in Wild, I see every shortcoming mage has, and it’s a list.
Mage can’t tutor worth a crud. Mage can’t draw. Mage can’t even burn from hand half as well as classes who steal it’s cards can.
Warrior gets its own dirty rat. Other classes get their own versions of incredibly powerful tech cards that were once strictly neutral. But not Mage. We get nothing.
I’m sick of the mage hate from team 5.
they should probably nerf aviana, BEES!!!, scabbs cutterbutter, and maybe some other cards to stop OTKS. maybe concierge to not less than 1 and radiant elemental to not less than 1 too.
idk i just don’t like losing to OTKs and never play them myself. i have all the cards to make the otk decks i just don’t want to play or make them.
maybe nerf guff wildheart too idk. brann + astalorx2x4x14 by itself is pretty lethal.
You misunderstand what “wild is wild” means. If it was just “overpowered” it would be almost great; it’s because it’s an IMBALANCED MESS; it’s EXACTLY that things like “too many OTKs but not all classes” happen a lot there.
I’d move to Standard as soon as possible if I were you; it’s the only Format with a chance to be balanced; that’s because it’s multiple times (not just 2X times) easier to balance because the complexity is that much lower.

Naval Mine is such an idiotic card that should have never been made.
Its just a neutral common card no one would miss, nuke it.
It sort of irks me that others here say I have an agenda, yet they have never tried Rogue
(Or even Demon seed lock in wild. And they clearly have not faced them as Mage.)
The possibilities are almost endless there, because Rogue has not gotten nerfed every standard expansion the way mage did for years. Mage also has gotten the worst cards now for a long time, and I doubt anyone can argue that.
What they should do is un-nerf do some wild mage cards that have been crippled for years.
Incanters Flow, or even Luna’s Pocket Galaxy, or even Dragoncaster come to mind.
Imagine Yu-gi-oh deleting Exodia. Blizzard just did that.
