Soo, I just died turn 5 from rogue

Combo went: mini 1/1 for 3 mana cheat into Sonya for 1 mana into Amulet deal 6, into 0 mana amulet deal 6 into piper to draw the amulet deal 6 into shadowstep piper into amulet deal 6 for 1 mana into amulet deal 6 for 0 mana into piper again into prep into amulet deal 6 = 30 dmg OTK with 5 mana (35 actually, if I had more health)

Where agency? Counterplay?

Yeah that happens sometimes. It’s a pretty rare combo tho. Stars need to align for it to happen. I agree it sucks, but it’s not like rogues have much to do rn anyway lol

I generally don’t think OTKs like this should even be possible before turn 10, regardless of how rare they are.

It’s just a random non-game. If we aren’t going to allow players to act during their opponent’s turn to stop this kind of stuff, at least give them the opportunity to play any card cost that might be in their deck before the game abruptly ends.

Blizz: we like Sonya, we just don’t like anything Sonya actually does, so we are going to nerf any card that works too well with Sonya, but not Sonya herself.

The thing with Sonya is that she works with ANY 1 drop card, no restrictions to like minions only or spells only. And she looks at current (discounted) cost, not original cost.

If they nerf one card cuz it works well with Sonya, rogues will just fine the next one.

I’m so tempted to make a rauchy joke about how she’ll pair up with anybody. Giggidy.

Guys rogue is garbage right now. It only has 1 deck that is barely playabe in top legend and unplayable elsewhere. Why are we discussing nerfing Sonya now lol.

I’d rather they basically delete Sonya as a combo tool to give rogue buffs elsewhere that let them compete without just trying to force Sonya combos as a bandaid.

No deck revolving around (or hell, even including) Sonya is going to be allowed to stay good for long.

That’s their MO when it comes to nerfing things. Nerf around the problem not the problem itself. They need to keep those big ticket power cards in rotation to get sales.
