Some friendly suggestions for battle grounds

First off… love it. love it. love it. Kudos. Well done. Bravo! Encore! etc.

Now the meat:

  1. At rating 5000 and higher take 7-10 seconds off of hero selection, turn 1 and turn two. This would please people who play a lot and give a UX prize for hitting that milestone. Could have a treatment like a plain “Play” button versus a golden “Play” button for when you queue.

  2. My strategy in one game I played was to stay on tier two with shudderwock and farm Pogohoppers. It worked great. Ended up #2 in that game but I found out that there are only 8 pogohoppers in the pool. There. I said it. Now everybody knows the limit. Make a visual treatment like glows orange in the tavern if it is the last one available in the pool and has a little lock snipe in your board and opponents boards to indicate there are currently no more in the pool.

  3. Bring back mukla and manastorm… they were my favorites. nerf them or buff the sucky ones, but I damn nearly quit when you removed my two favorites. “70% chance to give tavern mechs +1/+1.” etc. would let you precision tune a balanced nerf. More heroes is better IMO.

  4. Sucks when your hero choice gets hard countered. Make a tier three minion that lets you discover a hero again. Perhaps getting 3 and going gold give you a gold hero with an improved power.

Thats all for now!

Thanks! Keep innovating!

Innovating, had to laugh at that. This is about as innovative as bread.

Glad you like it, honest question, are you not getting bored now that the ‘meta’ is set and it is just the same decks in the top 4? Pogo is fine, but entirely and utterly countered by poison, which exists in a minimum of 3 minions by the last 4.

There can be no innovation in strategy because it is a limited pool and certain decks utterly dominate. There can be no experimentation for fun, withou the absolute knowledge you will lose.

Game needs to be opened up to make this anything more than a momentary distraction, as a long term game play mode, it may be fun for min/max players, but for most casual players who want to drop in and have a bit of fun building random decks that get offered, it simply does not work.

I just ask to stop the cheese disconnection. The guy disconnected me so strong that until same my Battle. net was closed.

Thank you very much, a simple fair match isn’t enough for you, right? That is the reason I don’t spend my time trying hard this game anymore. The internet failed only in the moment I was winning, rigged is the name.

It is the same reason I have not bought a pack for ages. Balance appears way down the list of priorities for Blizz, far down, below attempting to sell you stuff, repeated 1,000 times.

Put balance back at the top and I might be interested in spending money on the game again.

I hear you but I think it has potential. I think arena is way more broken for casual players. It is so unlike drafting magic at a local store. At a local store I stand a chance of winning the whole draft because each progressive win does not match you with hundreds of decks of the same number of wins. I am frequently the best of 8. I am rarely the best of hundreds. Skill level of that pool tends to go up with number of wins. Paying $2 to nearly always lose in the middle feels bad even if you do make the resources back. Such a brutal resource grind with none of the actual fun of drafting. Because battlegrounds is just 8 random people it feels much more like fun old school drafting to me … and it’s free. Free drafting that I sometimes win. It’s a lifeline. IMO

Local store drafting has a limited resource pool. It’s even more similar in that regard too.

So true  must be 20 characters.

I don’t think it is a terrible idea, I don’t think it is an original idea, but it isn’t a bad idea.

Just the implementation is not good at the moment. It is very repetitive, I don’t even feel like playing it because oh look it is a cobalt guardian with minibots and an amalgam, not seen that combo 400 times already.

Oh not that, it must be the 34/34 jumbo murlocs with poison and divine shield, how original, wonder what made you think to make those choices.

It needs work, to make it full of variety, to break the current boring meta and to make it more fun to just play.

Winning and losing is irrelevant in this game mode, because it so random - sometimes you are lucky and sometimes you are not, but it has to therefore be interesting; and it isn’t.
