Lets just pretend you play the 3 mana 4/5 without overload… next turn jam sessions + trusty and you’re at a 3 mana 9/11
Also these things work with conductivity. The only problem is keeping a board alive long enough for the value to stick.

Trusty companion gets you a minion of a specific type. Hand of adal draws anything. See the difference?
Yeah in practice, we saw hand of adal was a pally staple despite looking pretty unassuming.
Lots of buffs tend to act as psuedo charge, so even blanket 4 mana for +4/4s with no draw was played a while.
This gives +2/3 for 2 mana, AND draws with good stats. And it’s also on turn 2, which means with a 1/3, you could do something like play a 1/3 with a tribe, t2 buff it to 3/6 (a very powerful t2 4 mana statline).
Then that t2 3/6 could very easily trade into a 2/1, a 3/2, and then even a 4/3 potentially in the best case scenario.
It looks good but there might be a case of mental math where although it’s probably more powerful, it is still restricted by tribe. (etc: If you buff a totem hp without a totem in deck, you get no draw).
If you buff a good minion without a tribe, ditto no draw.
If you buff a minion WITH a good tribe, that you already drew ALL tribes of. It will probably whiff. So while i expect this card to be good and a solid build around. I still expect the common hearthstone player to whiff from time to time if they aren’t card counting their minion tribes or buffing a totem.
It probably could mix well with the 2/3 amalgam/s though or the 1/3 amalgam. As they’re almost guarenteed to be a draw or be drawn if you run out of stuff.
It could also potentially even be used as a potential soft tutor as well for any tribed combo piece.
Spit my drink out laughing. Shaman outside of wild has been trash for a long time. Always eats a nerf too whenever a 48% win rate deck starts to look a little good.
You’re not disagreeing with what I said then. I meant if shaman ever needs a nerf, this might be a target of said nerf, but I wouldn’t expect that to happen because I doubt shaman is going to be OP. I have some hopes for the elemental package tho, we’ll see how it does. Even an evolve package could pop out of nowhere, since that usually depends on the higher-mana-pool minions in the game.
But yeah I never said shaman will need a nerf for sure.
I’m just saying Shaman tends to eat undeserved nerfs.
Agreed, the nerf to nature shaman this expansion was pretty undeserved, but I guess they really needed control warrior to work out.
It’s a great card in a game where the board matters. Lets not fool ourselves here. After the Thursday nerfs the meta goes right back to board clearing Warrior and armor up for WF weapon to the face. If only they would address the 800 lb elephant in the room and nerf Ignis.
Because if its dualtyped. Lets say ill play this on a undead/beast. I would then either draw a beast, a undead or both.
Mistake on 1, draw your deck on 2?
It will choose a type at random for cards with multiple types.
No, it absolutely will not. 1 card only.
One of these has a condition that the other doesn’t and is a totally different class?
Are we saying Paladin needs MORE powerful buffs for early game minions?
People are overreacting to this card. Its good but not THAT good.
Cards like this usually need token decks to work. And a token deck means the draw will most likely be low value. Its far to clumpsy to use as targetted draw to get some key minion. And sometimes this card wont draw anything.
Its absolutely a good card but its powercreep is rather deceptive.
I think you’re missing the fact that it has a condition. In top deck mode this card is likely worse unless you play a totem shaman. In addition, you will never draw a spell to safe you out of a sticky situation with this. Sometimes it’s better to have more control over your draw, sometimes worse.
Boreas,
Once again you skew over ALL the info and cherry pick for an answer. You generally have some insight, but it’s this condescending garbo that gets in the way.
You know the point they were making.
This looks like the kind of card with the potential to become Core when it’s about to rotate
Meanwhile, shaman hero power be like…
That card will fit good in my Big Shaman list, i like.
It has the ability to tutor the best elemental shaman has access to in One-Amalgam Band. Is that worth it? Probably not since shaman has access to mostly garbage elementals. If Shaman had been given some more multi-type minions i think this card would have been very powerful. ATM it’s just okay.
im not saying the card isnt good im saying it isnt a powercreeped version of a shaman card like dehydrate is
If Blizz had any integrity, they would put Hand back to +2/+2 when this overpowered card comes out
