Small rant/need advice

Hello everyone,

wild player here. Do you remember those times when spellstone for hunter was considered op? Cards from the newest expansions are stronger and most of the wild cards can’t keep up with them. I wish there would be some kind of wild expansion cards rework/buffs.
Anyways, back to my question. I am playing wild exclusively and honestly, I am having a really bad time. Encountering so many unfun decks like otk firelord mage, aggro of every kind (Yes, I am fan of control decks but not priest ), priests etc. I know that fun is purely subjective and someone can find funny playing these kind of decks but I don’t. Am I really getting “old” in terms of not liking the newest devs marketing tactics called powercreep? Should I quit?
I know that this will sound like a dumb question but in hearthstone sometimes you have to “survive” awful metas like pirate warrior (gadgetzan), kazakus priest etc. to stick around and enjoy good metas. (Of course another subjective topic)
So to summarize, Do you think that devs will eventually stop powercreeping old cards or I should quit because nothing will change?

Thanks everyone for reading my rant and have a great day!

Ps: feel free to post your wild control decks which you use and have a succes/fun with.

I would like to see it, but only for cards that were never played, like duskfallen aviana and other non sense.

Try casual: there, I can play recruit hunter with a positive winrate :open_mouth:

powercreeping will never stop, but you can keep playing it without caring about it.

If you enjoy the game, you have the free gold to buy packs and keep up with the new expansion

Succesful in wild?
Only with warlock I feel like I have a chance against all other decks: aggro, control, midrange, burn, combo…
Of course it’s a reno deck, with a control plan.
I recently got 11 wins in a winstreak with it, but unfortunately it got interrupted by… a reno lock!
He had guldanDK, I don’t have it… gg I guess :man_shrugging:

I can’t play other decks (my decks) in ranked, because they all lose against anything aggro, combo or control.

I can post my list, but note that I keep changing some cards to tech against particoular things (I need to really remove dreadlord, odd paladin is no longer popular)

I’m actually hoping for powercreep, at least with draw power. My wild bomb warrior deck is ready. I actually got a win streak with it at platinum MMR. This is without any version of Dr. Boom or that thing that puts a 10 damage explosive into the opponent’s deck, so it could still improve.

Powercreep can help in wild if you get lucky. Toxfin was once a decent murloc. Then Firemancer Flurgl came along, and now Toxfin is da bomb!

This is how all trading card games work for one simple reason: How do you get people to be excited and play the new expansion?

There was a season expansion over at Pox Nora where they tried to make the new cards ‘interesting’ but not outshine the previous releases. It was a failure, maybe one of the new cards per race was used, everyone complained, company lost money.

If you can brainstorm a way for an expansion to be successful, have the large bulk of those new cards be used, all the while not over creeping older cards, I’m all ears. So far I can’t think of anyway.

This is also why we have seasons, otherwise it would get WAY out of control.

My advice: leave. Seriously, there are tons of better games where your money will be better spent.

If you really want to stay: DO NOT give money to this company.
