Secrets are the end

4 anti-secret tech cards in deck and still destroyed by secret decks. never posted in here before but thats it, no longer the game for me. Someone got a recommendation for a better card game? Oh i forgot to mention immunity B.S. as well

If you can’t handle Hearthstone secrets then I would like to recommend Solitaire or Go Fish.

typical caustic response from the community, the childish “git good”
its not that a cant play against them its that its no fun, and crap interaction

They just printed this if you dislike secrets that much run it .
Epic ¡ Minion ¡ Murder at Castle Nathria ¡ Secrets can

Secrets are one of the easiest things to play around in the game, and frankly one of the more enjoyable things to face when you have two braincells to rub together and they’re not just aggressive tempo bombs like in wild.

I didn’t tell you to git gud, I said if you can’t handle them (don’t find them fun) then there isn’t another card game for you. Secrets are incredibly tame compared to basically every other CCG. I mean Maybe Gwent?

This thread’s title is a lie. Doomsayer is not a secret.

I played against a secret deck today. I decided to just shoot him in the face.

Played Quest Hunter. Got the Held In Contempt achievement before Tavish even showed up.

Pew pew.

Not if you don’t like secrets. Every other CCG has like… mega secrets.

time to find something else then

Secret decks aren’t as good as you think. The best players have simply not caught up to them in terms of tech yet.
Wait, and someone will post a net deck that destroys them.

just wait a day or two, secrets are way better then they have been in the past. I been playing since day one and secrets were always annoying but mostly acceptable. If your not playing in high diamond/legend you might not have see it yet.

maybe its not so much the secrets themselves but ease in which to use them, almost dont have to cast them directly

how do you play around Objection!/Counterspell

Secrets are total crap compared to MTG instants.

well, since mage can counter spells and minions there´s really no good way to play around anything anymore.

you just have to either go for it and it´s a 50/50 or you try to play an intelligent game instead of guessing wildly and get punished by a severe loss in tempo.

It´s really not fun to play against in the slightest. But then again. Not really anything fun in this game atm anyway.

Sure, and I’m not saying people can’t find it unfun. Just that if the OP is looking for another card game because he doesn’t find it fun then he probably won’t find anything. I haven’t kept up with Runeterra or Gwent, but Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic, and Digimon all have roughly the same thing, if not ‘worse’.

well, your post sounded a tad more like “get good” in a few more words, but alas there´s no card game without flaws, that much is very true.

and i think the criticism that tech cards don´t do their job too well is a valiant one, especially given the new mage secret counters all anti-secret tech as neutral cards are always minions.

Yeah, I was being sassy so I can’t pretend I didn’t know how it would be read.

Yeah, whether or not it is too ‘strong’ or ‘unfun’ that was a pretty glaring oversight on their part. Okani you can at least try and deal 6 damage to if you can’t test safely.

feed the board a small minion. if it lives, you know to test for CS.

how many small minions do you have that can be spared every time a secret comes up. Objection doesnt just kill the minion it is removed completely so no DR or other effects

It’s impossible to compare MTG instants to HS secrets lol. You can react to instants with your own instants. Instants are played from your hand, have a direct impact, and are cards that you PURPOSEFULLY put in your deck, whereas half of the secrets being played in Secret Mage are just randomly created. And if you were trying to say that MTG instants have a higher power level than HS secrets, I STRONGLY disagree with you. But that’s mostly because the two games just fundamentally don’t work the same.

HS has so much interaction with Secrets, creating them, Discovering them, minions getting buffed off of Secrets, removing Secrets from your opponent, etc. And if you’re facing a Secret deck but you’re not playing any counter cards to them, it’s almost like you’re playing MTG without instants against somebody who can freely use them. It’s not fun.

But anyway, they’re simply not comparable.
