And yet you just spent quite a few words comparing them.
He already said he uses it.
Your comment is not as witty, funny, or smart as you think it is. I suppose I shouldâve said âtheyâre simply not alikeâ. But oh well carry on, my friend.
They are, though. Fundamentally, secrets are the only method of controlled off-turn action, and while they do not have a one to one match to mtg instants, understanding their role and functions by comparing them can still be constructive.
Or we could be like you, and condescendingly dismissive of people trying to add to the discourse.
And so you canât sacrifice a lesser DR in order to find out?
Sorry, thatâs just wanting your cake and eating it too imo.
DR doesnt matter, the point is im gonna burn 2 cards with completely no benefit because i cant do either play a minion or spell
every time they play a secret theyâve used a card. when you play a card that tests the secret and depending on the card you played you are breaking even possibly or sometimes gaining an advantage. for example if you play an anti secret card youâve gained an advantage when they played a secret card.
incorrect they dont have to play the secrets themselves anymore, thats the problem
well, some cards play secrets for you but to get those secrets you have to play the card that plays them so still theyâve used a card to get them. there are cards that steal and destroy secrets. if youâre having trouble with secrets then make an anti secret deck. i havenât noticed secret decks being OP but iâm no expert. i play wild.
In standard the bonus tempo for secret synergies isnât really amazing right now. Thereâs a lot of way more powerful stuff you âdonât have to playâ.
just wait a few days, your going to see it soon
I play Secret Mage in Wild. I tried it in Standard. What deck are you playing?
'Cause there are plenty of decks that can beat it in Standard.
it will work if they ban the new secret so mage doesnt have a decent counter to minions
Note the word CCG. Meaning luck based not skill based realm of play. I play Dune, Scythe and board games with 10x the rules and complexity as Hearthstone. Those games would make a lot of Hearthstones best players cry at the complexity of rules and things you have to keep track of. Secrets are still a problem and you are hiding your biases behind insults.
The reality is that at this point there are so many secrets that you cant (especially in wild) predict what the other person has played. Further more secrets make the other player play off tempo. So factually for 3 mana mages get to counter minions or spells that can cost as much as 3x the mana they paid for the effect AND make the other player play off tempo for several turns.
You hit the nail on the head when you said other CCGs. Yes other games driven by luck and greed not skill all have these same issues.
When you tell someone to go play games that take absoultly no skill you know very well what you are doing is demeaning and insulting them. You are not telling him to âget goodâ you are mocking his skill level and that hes not good enough to play anything but kids games.
So you revealed a lack of intellect in feeling the need to belittle and insult him and now you also proved a lack of a back bone to stand behind your petty insults.
Respond if you wish but you will already be muted.
Who is this clown? All Iâve ever seen him post is whiny nonsense.
