Second (and Final) Warrior reveal for TITANS!

Craftsman hammer doesn’t look that goood.
Maybe I would also include tour guide to make hero power zero mana to combo ibto the new armorer that draws you cards?

Oh, it’s gonna be common. It’s already extremely scary to let a warrior survive to the longer game to do that. What Warrior has been missing to pull the combos off is an early game survival kit. It now has that.

I’ve been saying this since beginning of this expansion. I don’t think many people quite understand how potent Warrior is with a massive Hydra hitting you in the face and OTKing you because they are not used to seeing that Warrior version around or are able to defeat it early. If you can’t put Warrior down early, you’re gonna suffer hard.

Warrior now has some amazing Control tools, to the point where I have said they might need to revert Riff buffs. I bet that’s where we’re headed.

Oh no, please don’t nerf the parasitic package that takes up 6 cards in my deck, that’d be awful. I might have to replace them with cool cards like Disruptive Spellbreaker and Asvedon…

I wonder if Minotauren had a tribe tag on it but they dropped it because of discovery. Looking at the available pool i suspect discovery is going to play a big part into this deck as it does in BDK.

Overall though i am impressed with them actually giving warrior something good and that matches their class identity.

You gotta be kidding here dude. Awesome control package? Not Really. there are some cool cards here. Let’s be honest here best control tool here is the 7 mana spell. Not really amazing early game control. You nerf riffs and all the warrior decks will go to trash tier again.

Enrage will probably be still much better.

It’s okay if enrage is better. That flavor of deck isn’t for everyone that wants to play warrior. These cards are a package for people sick of that exact deck and want something else.

I’m wondering what the first VS report will say in terms of population. Blood DK’s popularity is in no small part because it was pretty much the closest option for people that wanted Control Warrior. It’s why I played it for all of MotLK.

I thought it was because Blood could shutdown aggro so hard.
This package will certainly let Warriors win most long games but I wonder if it can survive how blistering aggro can get by turn 4-5 these days.

Warrior actually getting good cards? Is this Hearthstone?!?

Honestly Warrior deserves these cards. After being mocked and trashed by other expansions.

If a warrior can stack his two buff, you have already lost. A 24/32 remornia or a 36 attack trench stalker usually seal the deal.

while Odyn is a great, flavorful card, I wonder if it ll really improve warrior that much. All theses armor card will be used in early game to defend, and by the time you can drop Odyn, a 8/8 do nothing on board, you may have used a lot of your armor generating ressources.

Usually by turn 8 , you know if you have won or lost the game, so having warrior game start so late is a bit… winmore.

I’ve considered this too. I guess it’s really design space for future cards as well as giving you good advantage in the event that a lot of your armor cards weren’t seen early OR you have minions which generate armor (warrior has a good number of these already).

Also makes the weapon from the Legends mini-set better since you can wait until it rotates to the armor gain and swing for 7.

I think there will be some use for it with the current pool of cards. How good will it be compared to what’s being used now is yet to be seen but I think it’s fine to be optimistic since Odyn is certainly powerful enough to considered running more armor cards. Plus the 1 cost Riff will have an even better use late game when played with Trenchstalker or Remornia + Hero Power into it.

Yeah, that could works. I hope the card end up enabling a nice archetype for warrior.

Eh, it’s just more of the hearthstone design that I’m not a fan of in the late game.

It’s largely: did this card get played? If yes: you probably win, if no, lose.

Turn 8 shouldn’t really be a point where we go “wow, thats so late, the game should be over now” and expect cards to just be doing immediately game ending things.

It’s just more design of “kill them first because you aren’t designed to be able to combat this.” Meanwhile giving warrior more tools to force the game to go later makes it so turn 8 isn’t some extreme turn count you’ll never see.

It’s not hard for warrior to gain armor counts in the OTK range. The minotauren hand buff is just an example of losing the game because a spell and a battlecry happened during the course of the warrior stalling. The added stall cards also make that a serious risk with other warrior scam wins that have been strong this whole time, just rarely encountered.

Yeah but the fact that it comes from Hero attacks means there’s ways of stopping him cold, even when fully online. Like ask Illidan how he feels about multiple minions with Divine Shield and Taunt for example.

Mage can magnetize the new Chill-o-matic to Mech Shark and freeze face.

Snowchugger was an insanely powerful card many years ago for that exact reason. It won’t completely stop a Control Warrior of course, but it still exists, and in the late game you might have run out of easy removal.

I am glad that provoke and commanding shout isn’t currently in standard, so a warrior can’t drop a minotauren, make it unkillable, then force your board to attack it to give him mega armor and attack.

Riot exists, though! Hmm…

Yeah, that lets them get double the value on that attack.

Honestly, warrior is still missing a pay off for stacking armor. Turn 8 odyn and THEN start stacking armor? That effect is good enough to push for a win, but without something like shield shatter, doesn’t it risk not having the payoff come soon enough?
