"Scourge" a secret creature type?

All of the amalgam creatures come up in the collection when you search “scourge”? Is there a reason for this that anybody knows?

The amalgams are tagged with several minion types that don’t currently exist in the game, including Gnome, Draenei and Tauren. They also come up when you search “Treant” even though I do not believe they count for treant synergy because Treant is not actually considered a minion type in Hearthstone.

Thanks. That’s weird. Scourge is an allegiance, rather than a race, isn’t it?

I checked “alliance” and “horde”, and those dirty little amalgam tarts are only in league with the demons.

They really should create the tag “humanoid” and be done with it.

Yeah there are a lot of hidden tribes that amalgames are accounted for, some were used in mercenaries that has way more sub-types than hs and bg

The only application in hearthstone atm is Power Slider. If you played 5 tribes + 10 amalgames it will get +15/+15 instead of +11/+11 (only 11 tribes in the game, not counting treants, imps and silver hand recruits)

Interestingly egg shows up too. Perhaps there might have been dummied out minion tags cut out in development. Like eggs being a type only the amalgams have maybe might have been for a cut card in development that maybe could have had more interaction.

Like say. A card that hatched eggs, or perhaps spawned them or buffed them etc.

Then again before amalgams. Even the pushed tribal synergies like dragon and pirate typically needed a whole deck built around it. Dragon priest wanted to reward holding the big dragons yet most people tried to run a critical mass of the 1-4 cost ones. Unless you had a deck of 30 tribal cards, it’d tend to fall flat. Maybe eggs were considered and cut. But the all tag includes all cut /dummied out tribes.
