Why was the theme for the expansion chosen to rehash older characters from previous expansions? It seems like the game isn’t that old to be needing to go back to new takes on old content and we kind of already had this to a degree with the corrupted versions of characters with the Old Gods. I’m also concerned because it sounds like this theme is going to play out for the whole year.

Unfortunately there is no money to be made in wild so they will almost never try to support it. They have been trying to support standard ever since it came out because they just want the money.

Why would they start nerfing cards no one likes so standard players can go to wild and not buy any more new expansion cards?

  • They want to keep those OP cards in wild that break the game like barnes and shudderwock so that players are annoyed and rather play standard, which will force you to buy packs from the new expansions.

  • Same reason they don’t allow people to buy card packs that are in wild, so the cards are harder to obtain and deter new players from wild and are practically forced to play standard if they want a decent deck.

  • The person I am replying to also asked if old mechanics in cards like “if your deck has no duplicates get X effect again” could be printed out again. The answer is obviously not because that doesn’t support standard anymore. There are so many mechanics they have and will keep in wild like Multi-Class cards from Mean Streets, support cards for C’thun or Jades, cards for Baku or Genn " If your deck only has odd/even cost cards, X effect happens", no more quests have came out again ever since Un’goro unlike DK’s that have popped up in almost every expansion ever since they’ve been created.

But anyways my point is, I could eventually see blizzard being the type of company that will get rid of wild completely and “compensating” us all our wild cards back by giving us their full dust value and forcing the wild players to convert to standard.

So my biggest concern for the game is wild, I know you guys will never support it because there is no money to be made from there but I want you to be professional and officially acknowledge it. Tell us wild players what your going or not going to do for us.

I know you’re just looking out for the company and your guys livelihoods because at the end of the day you guys want your money to put food on the table and hearthstone will always just be a card game, but if this is where we put our money in we have a right to know.

How do you rate the player’s experience?

  • entry level
  • casual level
  • veteran level

What plans are in place to improve/enhance on the player’s experience?

They do it because they want to keep the players busy and give them something new between the Expansions, cause they know that the meta is getting stale pretty quick.
They said something along the lines in the reddit Q&A.

Three questions coming right up:

  1. Will there be a Sandbox mode within Practice mode, where all cards are available to us? I really would like to test a deck against AI if my collection is limited, so that I don’t have to ask some of my friends that have full collection to force them to test a deck with me.

  2. Would you kindly increase the deck-slots? As a Wild player who loves deckbuilding/theorycrafting, 18 deck-slots isn’t enough. Either make it 36 or this: Nine deck-slots per class and it should be accessible when clicking the Hero portrait at “Play”. I believe it requires UI changes to be implemented, but that would be cool.

  3. Come to think of deckbuilding, there’s something that I hate to do: Organizing the decks. For example, I can’t put my favorite deck at the top by clicking and dragging to the top. In order to do so, at present, I need to “delete above decks” to “carry over the top”. Is it really hard to implement Up/Down arrows to carry wherever we want?

Hi and thanks fro hosting this Q&A, my question is what happen to the Hero Portrait gift every year?? and could you print more Hero Card in the upcoming expansion??

Two things:

  • Any word on implementing an achievements system in Hearthstone?

Probably a fairly simple feature that would go a long way to increasing the playability of Hearthstone.

  • Being able to earn single cards from older expansions?

With this many sets now, any newer player is going to have no hope catching up and playing old cards like Yogg, Ragnaros that you devs often reminisce about, without spending extra money on cards that all us older players earned for free.
You could tie in the old rewards we got like a free C’thun and Marin to the achievements system, why would a new player want to spend money on Wild packs if they weren’t already enjoying the game, but are missing so many cards for Wild that it’s unfeasible for them to craft every card with dust? Say all the staple cards of old like Piloted Shredder, Coldlight Oracle, Dirty Rat.

If you want an example, Eternal card game does this better: you can earn cards from the sets you missed over time because you’ll get a card here and there from their various draft modes, and also packs, even though they do focus on more packs from the latest expansion. In Hearthstone, you only have arena offering the latest expansion packs, with the odd card here and there of Standard only but it’s a rare occurance.

These questions are very specific and not really RoS-related, but I think a lot of other people are in the same situation as me. I recently started to play wild and crafted big priest with the Hall of Fame dust.

  1. How likely is that Big Priest receives a nerf? And if so, will Big Priest players receive more compensation?
I know that a lot of the legendaries in the deck are staples in wild, but I’ve also spent a considerable amount of dust on priest epics.

  2. Will we be able to purchase wild packs and adventures with gold? If not, why?
A lot of players are scared away from wild because of the huge initial investment. I believe a lot of people would be fine with the wild packs costing 150 or even 200.

That will be all my questions, and I would really appreciate if you guys can answer them.

Thanks, HER0

Have you played the game lately?

Meaning? Because I still do. So, when was the last time you played?

Quoted from the Implement Auto Squelch thread. What are the CURRENT reasons for not implementing this now?

So you know there is a Wild arena in the game right now?

This was already answered. They wanna try something new this year.

Hello ,
I just want to ask if there will be some new achievement system added to the game.
Same as I would love to see some border around name or etc. for hitting legend 5 , 10 , 15 … times , that goes for people in high legend aswell , for example TOP 200 or 100 get special border just to add some reward to 1 golden epic , some dust and same cardback as rank 20 .

I know that new Arena system consists of old and new expansions. However, I can’t say the current system as Wild Arena because it didn’t include all expansions, with all cards having an equal chance to appear. It’s a mixture of Standard and Wild, which is a huge step, but not enough. That’s why I suggested Wild Arena option to see all cards, without any limitations.
