Please add the rank to each players data in the BG lobbies so that we can tell what rank people we are playing against. I personally need to know if I am losing to a bunch of whales or a bunch of bottom dwellers sitting on the 6k ocean floor. If I am losing to whales I can at least think I am improving. If I am losing to losers I can at least delete the game and go find something I don’t suck at.
If you use Firestone and you don’t see it, then you’re not high MMR enough. They show the previous season’s Leaderboards rank at their names after you hover over them.
I’m never in the Leaderboards but I often see Leaderboards people only at the start of a season, because the hidden MMR might be similar but not the Leaderboard rating.
Ì only run vanilla software for this game. I appreciate the offer but would rather the devs build this UI into the system so that all users can see what is going on in any given game. I have gotten better in almost any game I have played since I can remember. BG is a different animal.
If they did this, people would complain all day long that they were matched against opponents whose rank was too high.
Exactly. If people are stuck in 6k because they are feeding the 7k-(who knows what k) it will cause them to cry out. It would most likely force higher rank players to wait longer in queues as the fodder catches up from more even matching.
Those are usually the same skill, with the 7k just playing longer. You have to go near 10K to find people who are at a majority at another level compared to the 6k.
It’s similar with constructed. The bottom 5K of legend is usually similar skill with people playing little and going diamond easily.
