Redesign "Oh My Yogg!" already!

This card is one of the most infuriating designs ever in Hearthstone. Who designed this nonsense?!

I’m not talking about nerfing it, card text needs to be changed. I had THREE GAMES IN A ROW with Oh My Yogg into Shadow Council, the game after that it just destroyed my big minion with Ritual of Doom. Like seriously?

This card itself is one of the main reasons why Paladin is currently broken. You lose so much tempo because of this card by either playing around it or playing around it and getting punished with spells like above.

The fact that this hasn’t been done yet is really mind-boggling. Wake up devs.

It really isn’t that bad. If I see it coming my way I just toss coin out if I have it then if omy pops I play what I wanted to play in the first place. If not I make use of the 1 mana and carry on. Most paladins get destroyed by hunters. Pretty funny watching them get salty. Mmm paladins tears.

no thanks no needed omy been fine since its release in the darkmoon set several months ago

its so balanced people just noticed it exists

On the flip side of things, RNG has been quite unkind to me recently with OMY. Using coin turns into - wait for it - gain 1 mana this turn only. Gee thx RNG gods. The next one - deal 2 dmg to a minion turns into deal 1 damage and draw card if it destroys it (my minion only had one health, of course). Third one wasn’t bad, wasn’t great. Fourth one, though - turned 2 dmg into deal 10 dmg to random enemies.

Obviously multiple games, since I can only play 2 a game  I did actually win 2 of those 3 games though, so even though it torked me off that it backfired at that moment, it’s hard to complain if you win.

now you have sword of fallen to not only draw it but cast it for free.

Yeah casting it for 2 mana is a lot cheaper than spending one mana xD

It is when you get to cast it from your deck instead of your hand. LoneWolf is right, the secret itself didn’t become an issue until Paladin had enough secret support (primarily Sword of the Fallen) that it could cheat it out without drawing.

Also, SotF has two charges, so you’re still spending one mana per secret cast even if the cost can’t be split across turns.

The reason people have noticed it is mostly because it now appears consistently in the early turns and paladin can in general explode you on turn 5.

I wonder why.

Nah you just bad, as far am i concerned, omy did nothing against my priest in fact priest has high wr against paladin…

This post has nothing to do with priest vs paladin games. Not only you miss the point of the post, you also try to insult people for having an opinion.

If you build your deck around it knowing you will be facing alot of paladin, it is called smart planning… What you expect? One class to rule them all? No, there are always counter to each of the class…

Agreed, for only 1 mana ruin all your early game, the card is broken for the cost, they nerfed the wrong cards, oh my yogg combined with other secrets like reckoning is annoying, you can remove minion with spells and you can’t trade your big minions, the tempo lost is just free win

As a struggling standard climber who is constantly swarmed by flavor of the week decks making it almost impossible to not only get past them but also Blizzards win streak algorithm making it impossible to climb the ranks.

I have come across many decks, combos, and individual cards that have caused premature male baldness and bruised knuckles but Yogg has not been consistently unavoidably disruptive for me to hate it, with the rare exception that happens maybe once every twenty five Paly games which is their perfect draw completely shutting you down winning on turn 5.

While yes it’s annoying, but with my experiences which by no means yours have been the same, it has been something I have been able to play around leaving most of the paly decks around the middle of my difficultly deck ranks albeit that one paly deck that sits on top but not from Yogg. Leaving games against Paly much more preferred than playing the long drawn out 50/50 win rate of Warlocks and Priest.

Not only are their decks made for deep play, if these decks didn’t represent 70% of all games it would make you calculate if leaving for a loss is more beneficial as you could play 3 face to midrange game within that one game. Then to make it worse the people who playing these decks with addition to warriors are notoriously rope burners making you scream at the screens.

oh my yog really needs a nerf.
