Quick Tips for Newbies: Road to Legend

Is based on absolutely no understanding.

Are based on you incomplete understanding.

I didn’t tell you this was wrong. I said you’re seeing what you’re seeing. I said it doesn’t mean what you think it means and why.

Nope, just here. You make good points about how to play the game and have some good insights in other areas.

You assume that MMR moves all the time, that it has wild swings from single games, and that it’s basically equal to rank and all those things are false. It doesn’t’ make any sense to do it in “buckets” like you describe. It’s not based on “win ratio” in any real sense.

When I read your thoughts on this topic it reads like religious myths that explain the world, lol.

If you make a new thread asking what it is you will get a different definition by everyone. Try it and you’ll see. I personally don’t see the point beyond saying “good play”; or if you want it to be “early pressure” say “early pressure” (I mean I don’t see why the term has to exist when you can just say directly what you mean with more common words and especially when I see a different definition by everyone (i.e. assuming you have the right definition: why should I believe you since several others may have a different definition?) (just say what you mean as the type of good play that you mean)).

Finally reached legend with these stats:

Priest 102 win
Warlock 14 win
Warrior 1 win
No crafted card
Relying on priest + card stealing rng + discover rng + mmr trick

Thats a lot of classes you played as to reach it. Care to share your decks that contain 0 crafted cards?

Priest:

1 x Flash Heal
1 x Nightshade Tea (Before NERF)
1 x Psychic Conjurer
1 x Tidepool Pupil
1 x False Disciple (Try to Get Benefit from No Duplicate)
1 x Holy Springwater
1 x Redgill Razorjaw
1 x Chillin’ Vol’jin
1 x Funhouse Mirror
1 x Grace of the Highfather
1 x Holy Nova
1 x Hot Coals
1 x Madame Lazul
1 x Paparazzi
1 x Plagiarizarrr
1 x Stonehill Defender
1 x Tar Creeper
1 x Zola the Gorgon
1 x Imposing Anubisath
1 x Puppet Theatre
1 x Serenity
1 x Time-lost Photodrake
1 x Death Roll
1 x Justicar Trueheart
1 x Night Elf Huntress
1 x Origami Frog
1 x Clay Matriach
1 x Gnomelia, S.A.F.E Pilot
1 x Lightbomb (or Harmonic Pop)
1 x Zilliax Deluxe 3000 (Reborn, Taunt, Divine Shield, Poisonous, Lifesteal, Elusive, Rush)

I crafted nothing, I got all these card from some kind of beginner packs and mission prize I think. This is not fixed deck because I change a card or two every a match or two.

Warlock 14 win is actually all free win since I use warlock to grind down my MMR, warlock is basically the best class to suicide. So this is the win I got from disconnected or auto-conceded enemy

Warrior 1 win is actually the win I get from earlier win when I play the tutorial thing (?) I guess

Cool. Itd be great if you posted the code of the deck to make it easy to others to try it out. Thanks

There was only one card of that list I didnt have yet. Death Roll. hadnt seen or heard of this one yet. the whole tourist part of the game is still so new to me. makes me think of the pokemon TCG when I’d play multi-colored decks.

Edit: Well thus far out of 3 matches I am 0 for 4 with your deck. Rogue, Warlock, and Mage all outpace the heals with damage straight to my face. Also the only aid in self healing coming from Justicar didnt mitigate the face damage by much. Not when the Rogue was able to crank their lifesteal weapon to 9 attack and unlimited durability as well as casting a single spell that yields 8 damage to random enemies (none on my side so all to my face) 3 times… meaning even tho im at full health i took 36 to face in one turn. and no match lasting long enough to ever play zilliax nor was he even drawn in 2 of the matches…

I dont see how you got any wins with this deck but its great it worked for you but i am starting to regret crafting that epic card now… thats a lot of dust…

Feel truly sorry, but thankyou for proving my point, if it wasn’t because of my MMR trick I wouldn’t reach legend with this kind of deck. Well now that I’ve reached legend I do craft some card and do regret some crafted cards as well as it should be.

This is how I play with the deck I write previously:
hsreplay[.net]/replay/kXMbgbfDhRvM2AFq2fwuQU
hsreplay[.net]/replay/KChRAFvAwagKLgxsBfrZa2

What point did I prove exactly? So far this deck for me will not let me get to Silver, let alone legend. Im hard stuck at Bronze 1. I was doing better with the whizbang random decks. lol.

The point proved: I can reach legend even with very weak deck. Because I did this trick quoted above.

exactly, thank you!

But you arent proving anything at all… the deck doesnt even allow me to climb up 1 step in the ladder… just because you can get wins doesnt mean anyone else will… the only trick you’ve managed to prove so far is that you can get someone to use that deck and not get any wins from it.

There’s no need for that Scr0tie. This game has always been a difficult one. Maybe not for savants as yourself, but I’m used to be being stuck in bronze most seasons.

sure cramer enjoy your stay at bronze

Now you’re just trolling… if you had any pointers for helping people to reach legend it surely would be to offer up a deck that actually can get wins with for other people

wow when did you realize that? such a genius man you are cramer

I assure you, me physically facepalming when I read what you wrote was 100% involuntary.

Did I need to tell you about it? Nope. But I felt like it.

What kind of Troll are you? I already know you’re a rude one as well as sarcastic… but the actual trolling you’ve managed to do is just mind boggling…

I see now you;ve edited your original opening post to reflect something entirely different than your actual original post. Now it shows your goal is to lose with the deck you listed as getting so many wins with…

Geeze…just what the frak?

Scr0t, I know how much better you are at the game than me and your version of “normal” for the game and its players being absurdly higher than anything I experience… so naturally anything I experience, say, or do, will probably have you facepalming. Its just unnecessary to be like that do.

I have a pointer: play the game.

I recall you saying you only play a handful of games a week. You aren’t hardstuck; you just aren’t playing enough.

I just played a week’s worth of matches in a single night and made no progress and no wins. Now I see it was by design that the OP listed a Not supposed to win deck. Yet OP listed over 100 wins with it…

How much is a week’s worth of matches? Don’t be vague.
