Nope, just here. You make good points about how to play the game and have some good insights in other areas.

You assume that MMR moves all the time, that it has wild swings from single games, and that it’s basically equal to rank and all those things are false. It doesn’t’ make any sense to do it in “buckets” like you describe. It’s not based on “win ratio” in any real sense.

When I read your thoughts on this topic it reads like religious myths that explain the world, lol.

It’s when you dictate and thus limit your oppponent’s plays by putting enough pressure that mustn’t be ignored, because ignoring it will provide maximum value for you

Usually you have to sacrifice something to gain tempo (value, health, anything, really). One of the easiest examples is discarding a spell with Trolley problem to summon 2x 3/3 rush minions on turn 3 - you lose a card, but you gain a lot of pressure early

The play which loses tempo is called “a tempo play” (you lose tempo now to set up a tempo swing turn later), while the play which gains it is called “a tempo swing”. One example of a tempo play is playing 2x Baritone Imps instead of 1x Crazed Conductor and 1 Miracle Salesman on turn 5 in preparation for Popgar + stronger crescendo (tempo swing). By playing 2x Baritone imps, you lose pressure (less attack dmg on the board) and float one mana (hence, a sacrifice has been made), but you prepare a stronger tempo swing play (crescendo doing 3 dmg to all instead of 2 to all, and healing you for that much more).

The benefit of having a tempo is that you can pick a turn when you go all in with your highest value cards and that’s called “tempo-ing down”. Those cards are powerful, but very slow, and unless you win the same turn you play them, the lack of pressure they exert will cause you to lose the game. Examples include playing Pyroblast face or Popgar + barrells of sludge to hit face.

If those plays do not end the game immediately, they will usually be losing plays (playing pyroblast face without killing the opponent is akin to skipping a turn, and playing Popgar and not killing the opponent only leaves a 2/6 body on the board, which isn’t enough pressure and can probably be safely ignored), but not always. When you have the tempo, you can play those value cards knowing that the opponent will need to respond to your threats instead of playing their own, which is akin to playing Zarimi and having two turns in a row.

I hope you understand now, why that word is used a lot, seemingly without consistency. It’s because it’s very complicated and far-reaching.

If you make a new thread asking what it is you will get a different definition by everyone. Try it and you’ll see. I personally don’t see the point beyond saying “good play”; or if you want it to be “early pressure” say “early pressure” (I mean I don’t see why the term has to exist when you can just say directly what you mean with more common words and especially when I see a different definition by everyone (i.e. assuming you have the right definition: why should I believe you since several others may have a different definition?) (just say what you mean as the type of good play that you mean)).

I crafted nothing, I got all these card from some kind of beginner packs and mission prize I think. This is not fixed deck because I change a card or two every a match or two.

Warlock 14 win is actually all free win since I use warlock to grind down my MMR, warlock is basically the best class to suicide. So this is the win I got from disconnected or auto-conceded enemy

Warrior 1 win is actually the win I get from earlier win when I play the tutorial thing (?) I guess

There was only one card of that list I didnt have yet. Death Roll. hadnt seen or heard of this one yet. the whole tourist part of the game is still so new to me. makes me think of the pokemon TCG when I’d play multi-colored decks.

Edit: Well thus far out of 3 matches I am 0 for 4 with your deck. Rogue, Warlock, and Mage all outpace the heals with damage straight to my face. Also the only aid in self healing coming from Justicar didnt mitigate the face damage by much. Not when the Rogue was able to crank their lifesteal weapon to 9 attack and unlimited durability as well as casting a single spell that yields 8 damage to random enemies (none on my side so all to my face) 3 times… meaning even tho im at full health i took 36 to face in one turn. and no match lasting long enough to ever play zilliax nor was he even drawn in 2 of the matches…

I dont see how you got any wins with this deck but its great it worked for you but i am starting to regret crafting that epic card now… thats a lot of dust…

Feel truly sorry, but thankyou for proving my point, if it wasn’t because of my MMR trick I wouldn’t reach legend with this kind of deck. Well now that I’ve reached legend I do craft some card and do regret some crafted cards as well as it should be.

What point did I prove exactly? So far this deck for me will not let me get to Silver, let alone legend. Im hard stuck at Bronze 1. I was doing better with the whizbang random decks. lol.

All you got to do is keep losing at those checkpoints (6-7 lost would be sufficient) to get lower winrate so you will be matched with less experienced player in your next run. The more you lost at the checkpoints, the more relatively easy it will be to raise rank.

The point proved: I can reach legend even with very weak deck. Because I did this trick quoted above.

But you arent proving anything at all… the deck doesnt even allow me to climb up 1 step in the ladder… just because you can get wins doesnt mean anyone else will… the only trick you’ve managed to prove so far is that you can get someone to use that deck and not get any wins from it.
