The last card in the list is Beaststalker Tavis.
Isn’t this card contra-indicated by the Quest Reward?
Should I put something else in this slot?
What would be a good choice?
Depends on when you play it. It gives you a different win con in refreshing 0 mana animal companion summons.
It also gives you access to healing (5 armor) where typically the deck has no healing, and also gives you additional improved secrets.

OK, I can see how that might be useful.
How good are these companions.
To specify: You play it before finishing part 2 of quest.
If done afterwards it will actually lower your win chance.
It’s the classic trio of Huffer (Charge), Leokk (+1 attack to others) and Misha (Taunt).
P.S. The deck (or a slight variation of it) was leading the legend meta last week, though in Bronze-Gold it was upper Tier 2. That was before the patch, so YMMV.

As you can see by my avatar, I’m a Paladin Main, so I’m trying a new class altogether. It seems straightforward enough. I wasn’t smart enough to make Imp Warlock work for me, but I’m having some success with this.
This is the legend deck list.
Your list is optimal. Tavish is especially useful against slower decks. Make sure to play him before your second questline tick.

AND, I have to be careful when I complete it, or the Mad Duke or Mutanus will strike.

I replaced Urchin Spines with Theotar.
Good thinking. May I ask what rank you’re playing at? I’m only on high platinum for the moment, and it seems like I don’t see Theotar as often as I should.

I’m at Diamond 5. This is where I live; sometimes making Legend.

Props! With any luck, with Quest Hunter, you’ll reach legend in no time. Very good deck, and consistent because you start with your questline.

It’s exactly the opposite of Mech Paladin; no minions.
It’ll take me a little while to get used to it, but I think I’m going to like it.

I took out 6 mana Tavish, if you don’t draw him before completing 2nd part of the quest, he is mostly a dead card. Plus so many classes can deal with wide board, I rather go all face

What did you replace him with?
I forgot, but i put 2 of the spells which gives your spell poisonous this turn. It comes in handy

slihtly off the topic, I find quest hunter to be extremely boring deck to play. It plays like old MtG red dmg decks. If you like hunter I recommend a big beast deck o try out. It’s super fun to play and very powerful too.
you are right, Quest hunter is somewhat boring, but it’s very efficient. I play it for quest completion, like use 50 hero power, deal 200 damages, win 5 games etc. and I also use it for climbing if i am stuck
If not, you’re always a candidate for an “did anyone see that coming” moment on Daily Hearthstone Funny Moments.

I’ve played Hunter Quest a lot and I tried the card but didn’t like it. Most of the time direct damage to your opponent is much better.
