I can’t find the old topic so I create a new one. Teotar should not be able to steal the final minion from a quest. I just worked my * off to finish my quest against another warlock. And right before I could play it the opponent played teotar. But he was stuped to play bran first. So I got my minion back. Then he concede. This makes players angry. The bad loot and matchmaking is already a big reason to get mad.
And about design. I just played against a rogue. He played the gnoll. And 2 locations. On turn 3 he had 2 minions with 7/7 and 2 locations. This is ridiculous at bronze 3. Fix your * matchmaking. This is far from fun.
2x 7/7’s from 2 locations and gnoll on t3 I’d love to see the replay im calling bs on that one

Probably more like turn 5. Hey, still pretty nuts though. At oP, this is merely a high roll. Don’t sweat it because it happens and will happen again. Try to get used to this happening from time to time. There are matches that can be unwinnable. You need to accept the loss and move on.
Yes ,it should be able to steal the minion.

THAT is why you don’t complete Quests and not play reward in one turn. As long as you do that, your reward can’t be stolen/eaten/whatever. Basic brain, you know. I mean there is Theotar and Mutanus also for your side, you can run them too.

You know where to put the . And https and :
If this is agains the rules. Then I am sorry for it. Then just delete this post. But I am a honest person and I want to be able to share proof and not saying nonsense.
I had a nice chuckle when you said “I worked my * off to complete the quest”
No you didn’t. The quest pretty much completes itself. That’s what sucks about quests. It takes just about zero skill to complete a quest
I have no big skills so for me it’s more work. Sure I can use things to damage myself. But I also have to survive without losing so fast. And I don’t have a meta deck. If I had a meta deck (if I could afford one or had more luck with cards) I had not whine so much because then I win more.
For warlock quest you have to take damage on your own turns. If I do that + the enemy damage me then I die before is completed. It’s nice if another warlock give me an abyssal curse. Then they help me with my quest. I had with the demon hunter quest. When I had the quest completed I had drawn my full deck and I got fatigue damage. But I was thinking about trading cards that maybe count as a drawn. But I haven’t tried that so I am not sure it would work.
Not everyone is a big brain like you. Be easy. No need to insult the OP by laughing at them.

I don’t want to kick a man while he’s down, but this is your fault.
In a meta where every single deck runs theotar or mutanus, why oh why would you complete the quest at a time where you can’t play the reward right away? Truly the only class that is vulnerable to this is priest, who can’t possibly play their reward same turn.

At his rank, Theotar is probably not very common. Hence his surprise and disdain for this particular interaction.
Nevertheless, @Blokschaaf, what these players are saying is true. Never finish your questline before you can play your Tavish that turn. I know it’s very tempting to finish your questline ASAP, but you need to resist the desire.

Ty. I learned from it and won’t play it again. Theotar is dangerous. But mutanus not so much. I had mutanus in my deck but he ate a 1/1 from my opponent while he played a legendary at his turn. Or I was unlucky. Or he drew it on his turn.
I think regular hearthstone is not what I expect. Everyone is competitive and I have no chance with a self created deck. I like rogue. But always unlucky with card draw. I don’t know many classes but only hunter. Hunter is my main (played wild mostly because bad cards from packs and so used old collection) so when I have an hunter against me I know what I can expect or what can happen. And I don’t watch streamers because I am a casual player. But casual mode has bots, slow ppl and not much good rewards.

The Warlock quest requirement in standard is extremely difficult to finish. That’s why the quest only sees play as a tech card for Curselock mirrors. It’s not even feasible to finish it. I think there’s some weird imp build where you use impending catastrophe to put yourself in fatigue, but that just sounds like it would lose horribly to aggressive decks.
But yeah, in the future finish the quest when you can play the reward if you can.
Yes, the warlock questline sucks in standard. Funki Monki has posted a list or two, but truthfully they’re probably no good either. The OTK is summoning imps with circle and using Catastrophe to do big fatigue damage. It’s terrible.
That’s one of the most basic things you have to learn in ranked Hearthstone, especially if you want to go combo.
You have to protect your combo pieces and the questlines are the easiest for that. You just have to play the quest reward in the same turn you get it.
If you play questline priest, just add all the hand disruption tools and don’t finish the questline until you destroyed/stolen all their hand disruption tools.
