This has probably already been suggested as a QoL feature for battlegrounds but it might be nice to allow players to end their turn before the timer is up:

If everyone ends their turn before the timer is up then the rounds would go faster and there could potentially be less boredom while waiting for timer to run down.

If at least two players don’t end their turn before the timer runs down then everyone would still have to wait.

If one player doesn’t end their turn early then maybe their timer could be accelerated.
This seems like it would have potential upside without being too penalizing for taking longer. You also wouldn’t have the issue of someone intentionally taking longer on purpose.
I’d be interested in hearing what are the downsides to this.
