If you are wondering about my weird etc list im doing an achievement.
My usual etc list is rivendare and steamcleaner and fizzle but in this list he is main list.
Lastly my other etc got burned i could have won if i had that.
I made alot of misplays i decided to fatigue out so opponent can get fatigue achievement.
I dont like to play theotar so i dont put him in my list haha and love everlasting can be generated.

Priest on priest, who would have thought. Should have been greedier.

Was that a fun game?
I dunno, fatigue used to take skill when resources were limited and you had to count cards and time plays to ensure the right rate of resource burn vs keeping your life total safe.
Nowadays, going into fatigue is all about who can pull the best rolls of value off discover, I mean priest has infinite discover now, so fatigue is not really fatigue, it’s more like what are you going to roll and what will I roll.
It can be fun to have super long games once in awhile but probably not all the time
Personally games ending turn 15 is my sweet spot im also doing some achievements trying to cast 50 dissodant spels and i believe its only in priest.
First off the best way to win this mirror i think is to get rivendare out and kill the copies urself because the opponent wil silence or possibly drown it and it might end soon u might win with board pressure but thats rare in the mirror or win with the new elite tauren minion.
i do hear what you say i too miss when resource management was a thing.
Arena is the mode where that is stil a thing i think unless im wrong.
At the same time some value is sometmes infinite value is fun but i gues not every game.
I like rng but i can see how too much can irritate some people.
Lastly i play all kinds of decks combo control midrange aggro hyper aggro decks i dont play because for me its only about maximising early boar pressure and damage there is some skil in the mirror but i dont find it interesing.
I wouldn’t have thought. It’s really not that long for a Priest v Priest.
i hope you will read my reply to the other poster i play many decks not just this i will rarely play hyper aggro.

There are hearthstone players, who happen to be playing priest, who want to first and foremost win the game.
Then there are also “priest players”, whos idea of a good time is having endless value. Every card generates more value, or ideally both value and tempo. Every card that can generate any additional copies of the big cards are included. Stretch, greedy, and rarely assembled combos are always included. These players have been formed by the years of best-in-game board clears given to priest, allowing them to play extremely greedy and drawn out games where the longer the game goes the higher the win rate.
My idea of fun is having to use all of my resources to the fullest extent to sneak out a win in the end. The modern Infinite Resources Era of Hearthstone, where everyone can draw their whole deck every game or generate a full extra deck worth of cards, hasn’t been my idea of fun.
I laugh at the concept of Priest being greedy, though. It’s not allowed to have big powerful monsters, or good tempo, or burst from hand. It’s designed to play twice as many cards to accomplish what other classes do. It does the only thing it’s allowed to do. If I was designing a greedy deck it’d have lots of high cost spells and monsters. The only high cost cards Priest can afford to run are AOEs and the Colossal (thanks to the Lifesteal). That’s not greedy at all. But Priest has to pay mana, so it doesn’t get to play big threats.

Well, as a Priest player since 2014…
My first question I ask myself is:
“Which finger-nail should I remove from my opponent first?”
Then I build my deck from there.
Yes I guess so, but infinite discover changes fatigue completely, it’s no longer about what resources you burned and which ones you still have, it’s only about which resources you will generate.
It doesn’t matter if player 1 carefully conserves resources knowing the game will go into fatigue, if player 2 just free burns then proceeds to discover answers and threats for the rest of the game.

I like value i wont deny infiniate value is fun some times but i gues it can be problematic.
too.
That being said otk or combo decks can take decks like say control priest all the value means nothing if they die in one turn.
Thats usualy my gameplay try and presurre on board wittle their hp down and then burst them down in one turn.
At the same unless i am wrong in descent of dragons we also had infinite value and it was not a problem correct ?
Which effect or deck does this reference?
Galakrond rogue and priest i do remember galakrond rogue was meta for a few tournies so i gues in that respect maybe it was a problem.
I dont think priest galakrond was that meta and had infinite value hero powers but i think the way the meta was designed it did have counters like i said i could be wrong that was a long time back.
What im basically saying is that as long as there as a way to otk the infinite value deck it should not be a big problem.
Play experience might be reason for nerf idk this is usually subjective.
Hmm “Add a random priest minion”, vs “Pick a card from 3 potentially powerful shadow spells” is not really comparable IMO.
Edit - oh sister Svalna oh yes i can see how that is problematic how would you change the card then sorry i didnt read ur reply properly sorry.
