Priestess of Nick furry šŸ˜ is the whole problem with demon hunter

In my opinion:

  • midrange: nope. you don’t consume enough cards to need the refill (heck, you may overdraw), also while this kind of decks don’t go for tempo as hard, they usually need to curve out, and semi-skipping a turn (if you can’t play at least 6+ mana worth of stuff on the same turn as Skull) is usually not optimal. I expect the card to be too clunky here.
  • control: probably not. Control decks tend to hoard cards. For one it means that Skull is often not cast with Outcast, making it a pretty bad card. It also means you may overdraw. It gets you closer to fatigue. Best use case would be fishing for an answer, but in that scenario you prefer cheap draw so that you can play said answer on the same turn.
  • combo: absolutely yes. Draw is important in those decks, and hitting a combo piece with the discount is absolutely massive.

We know. Thats why many of us have issues dealing with priestess on t5 or 7. Seriously I was here for savannah highmane in its day and it wasnt anywhere close to the game overness that priestess is. Priestess is basically casting avenging wrath every turn and that card costs 6. Thats absurdly op. Defending this card is beyond mind boggling to me.

They just nerfed priestess. Guess that shows who was right. :grinning:

Awesome! I even called the nerf to the card

Meh. I still stand by my word, as in ā€œPriestess is NOT the whole problem with DHā€. All the nerf changes is that Priestess is easier to remove, that will moderate a bit those that thought Priestess was too hard to remove.

But you can bet the same people thinking it’s OP because of its damage are going to be all over the forum saying ā€œthe nerf is not enoughā€ because they still can’t get that Priestess is not the problem, their inability to manage the early game is. And for these guys, that nerf doesn’t change anything. In fact, it already started.
