It is very easy to tell who needs that time n who is just b using it to try n make ppl quit so they can get more then 1 match in per 45+ min.
I suggest making this a punishable offence, get 10 ppl reporting u in a 48 hour period should at the very least force their account to only have half the normal allotted time… should be a perma ban offence, grow a sack n fight toe to toe, not wait out a clock… id play a different game if thats what i wanted
ppl like to abuse the report feature(even againts ppl who did nothing wrong except play a deck list they hate which they deem reportable)…also an algorythm that track who is abusing roping on constant basis would work better than ppl reporting
and while this is stupid from acti-blizz…they actually support roping as a viable “strategy”… apparently violating another player mind in such a way is ok…but insults are not ok
not only is it wrong…but its a huge waste of time which could been used for something better
on last note…ropers&roping supporters deserve to be tie to a table with nothing to do for all day everyday and only get 1 meal every 24 hours(spoon feeding them some gross but healthy food) so they get a taste of their own medecine and reflect on how it feel to get their time wasted
3 good months tied with nothing to do should be long enough punishment that they learn a lesson
Generally when that is happening, you’re facing a bot. You can report that.
They get the same time you do, get over it. It is a viable strategy. Time is thinking about counters, viable combos off hand, and making the opponent react. Some people just have no patience.
I rope all priests & druids on principal that they’re broken and blizz lets them run free. Get over it.
They should start putting “ropers” against other ropers more frequently.
It’s not against the rules, so they can’t be banned, but if they really “need time” (or more probably, like to waste others time), it would be good for everyone to just put them one against each other.
It’s not uncommon for me to see someone roping the mulligan and turn 1, thinking “maybe they disconnect”, then right before the turn ends they play a quest (really hard decision) and then they proceed to also rope turn 2 and so on.
Is it enjoyable? Hell no, I even concede as soon as I realize what they are doing (congratulations for the hard earned star at silver rank) if they enjoy it I wish they would see other ropers for eternity.
This kind of people is probably the same who complain about not being able to climb with a tier1 deck
I don’t know if you don’t understand what a roper is or if you are pretending to not understand it.
The people (not bots) I see roping on purpose every turn are usually playing broken decks; I saw more than one quest DH doing every play, then waiting for the rope to burn; like, if they know how to pilot the deck they shouldn’t be stuck in the low MMR where I am, so I assume they are so bad they rely on people conceding early.
Then as soon as they reach diamond they’ll probably complain about “not being able to win anymore”; probably because in diamond people are actually trying to win and unlike them they earned their ranking
If someone using their timer to the fullest bothers you, thats a YOU problem. YOU fix it by being more patient. If you people cant get over it when most matches end by T6-7 and are generally less than 5 minutes I suggest you find another game that you play with yourself.
You have no right to control another players approach to the game as long as rules are followed. You are welcome to play single player where there are no mean ropers to ruin your little day.
I agree heavily with ur comments DLM, easy fix is to put them against each other
It doesn’t bother me of they have a reason to do that; if they are just wasting time for whatever reason, I fix it bu conceding, since I play a game to have fun and not to stare at a still screen.
If they find it entertaining, they should find more enjoyable to play against other ropers: double the time, double the fun!
I know that, which is why I disagree with banning them (unless they are bot users)
If they are doing that to trigger you, complaining about it on the forums is just giving them axactly what they want, and thus directly supporting such behavior.
The absolutely worst thing you can do to those so called “ropers” (that are not bots) is not being affected by it. They crave the reactions from triggered players. And not being affected by it is entirely under your control, not theirs.
As for the bots, take the free win, and report them.
World of Warships had a feature where your name would turn pink if you were caught trolling your team. That way people would understand normal players from toxic players. We called them “pinkies”.
Hearthstone should have a similar feature for repeat roping offenders. Make them stand out and pair the trolls together.
That said, you should use their roping against them not concede the match. If you don’t like the behavior I wouldn’t reward it. Rope them full 3 turns, see if it stops. Sometimes it does, as I have also played ropers and this has actually made THEM concede…so consider it.
I know a better way for people who rope, if you don’t play a card within 10 seconds, next round they burn a card in their deck
hs is a game designed to pique your frustration by generating a stress loop at the expense of your pocket time and gratification, just enough to leave you hooked on the game without uninstalling it making you think maybe with a better deck you’ll do better and… away with your wallet, there is only one method to remedy the problem but unfortunately I can’t tell you because the forum rules don’t allow it hehe, let’s say you have to increase your cunning by stopping trying to fight blizzard because you will never win
Opinions on roping aside, you need to seek help, my friend.
Ropers are usually botters.
i wonder who rly need it honestly
a vengeful person like me ?
or those that who have wasted a lots of ppl time intentionaly while going unpunish
like what are those ppl mental problem to have such a desire to make ppl life miserable on purpose ?
here the thing…why are you againts returning bad behavior to the initiators ?..are you supporting scummy acts ?
and just to state…my above statement(previous post part that you quoted) would be a punishment base on how many time they repeated the offense…would not be as extreme for those just starting that…but for those who been doing it for a really long time it would be
edit: for the supporters it would be half the time since they could have stop such behavior to some degree
there…now you got the specifics…didn’t think i would have to go in details about it :S
Wow advocating for torture over a game. What a worthless POS. Personally I hope god gives you a shot before he flushes you straight to hell but I would understand why he wouldn’t.
People like you deserve to be miserable.
Stop playing rogue and DH?
lulz
roping = torture
no difference
edit: btw its just being tie down and they get to waste their time…same way as they waste other players time…i didn’t say things like slowly slice up or dismembering or even water dropplet…just a simple tie down to deny motion to bore them(its equally boring to sit still waiting for rope every turn when its done on purpose and not for move thinking)
Turns last less than a minute you need help. I just wish your mom wouldve finished with a swallow. What a waste of a human being.
