Would it be possible to have more options (than downloading or not game’s assets) to improve the performances of Hearthstone on mobile devices? Such options would be:
Decrease game resolution
Turn off cards animations or sounds separately
Turn off all animations and interactions possible with the board
Have the core application ran on Hearthstone’s servers and mobile devices “streaming” to it
Have the core application ran on PC and mobile devices “streaming” to it (remote play)
Surprise us and invent a way to have legacy devices be able to run Hearthstone lag free up to 10 years of Hearthstone
Having the game shift from crashing once before turn eight to crashing every turn starting turn three is somewhat problematic, methinks. Surprisingly it is hard to play a game where you randomly forfeit your turn five and seven due to the lag out happening on your turn. Twelve mana and two turn handicaps are just what some decks need to get the edge, competitively.
Insert tired “do you guys not have phones” joke here.
yes the resource requirements get very heavy. Some of the suggestions that the OP posted works (for example, to allow us to turn off animation or decrease resolution). I already turned off the music. I play both on PC and ipad.
