PLEASE FIX IN BATTLEGROUNDS! why is it when you tie for FOURTH you still lose ranking!? im sick of playing a good 30 minute game just to tie for a 4th place and STILL LOSE RANKING!

When multiple people die at the same time, their placement order is determined by their placement order at the start of the round (i.e. who had more health). This affects “win” achievements/quests since 4th place or better is considered a win.
In terms of mmr though, they’re basically all treated the same as though they tied for the midpoint of those placements. If you got 4th at the same time as 2 other people died and got 5th and 6th, you really all got 5th (in terms of how it affects mmr/rating).
You get the average of the points when you go out at the same time as someone one else.
So if you would have gained 12 and they would have lost 20, you both lose four.
