For the sake of Hearthstone. This “team 5” is the worst thing that ever happened to this game. Bring back Brode please.

I bet to differ. Brode bring HS to where it is, credit to him for that. But since then, it got stale and nerf is slow. Since brode left, we have a mech event that shake the meta, we have a doom in the tomb event to shake up meta in between expansion. We have way more expansive solo advanture. We have a new game mode. We have more freebies. We have wild card pack in store. We have a new adventure coming with 35 cards. So ya, its pretty amazing I must say.

When Brode was in charge, you could buy adventures that gave you ALL the cards of the expansion without the RNG of getting nothing. around 20 dollars and you got ALL cards. And the cards he designed were 1000 times better than this crap. Notice how the most balanced and well designed cards are in the classic pool? Plus the decks used to be way more cheap, an expensive deck back then was considered Control Warrior who had 5-6 legendaries. Now even aggro decks have 5 legendaries on average.
Have fun now playing with expansions that need you to spend a lot of money with no guarantee that you will get the cards you want and 90% of the cards badly designed cards or reprints.
Brode actually made me want to spend money on Hearthstone. When these guys took over i quiited HS for 2 years and came back to try Battlegrounds and just when i was actually enjoying it, they released the latest patch and ruined it too. These guys dont have the slighest clue of how to balance their game.

Brode haven’t even left for 2 year. All the problem arose from brode time in charge. Yes he was good but as the game evolve he didn’t perform as well as he did in the start. And no aggro deck uses 5 legendary, feel free to name me one to prove me wrong.
I saw the new cards of the new expansion and i’d rather have to play in an old aggro meta. There is a reason why a lot of top players have already quitted hearthstone and this game is losing popularity and dying. Now you can defend them all you want i dont care, this is my opinion and your opinion is yours. But there is something that is actually objective and not subjective. The fact that the game is not even close to how popular it used to be. Almost all my IRL friends have quitted it and logging in HS after 2 years i hardly saw any1 online on Bnet. Facts speak for themselves. If these guys wont stop being so greedy on new players and keep releasing badly designed cards this game is guaranteed to die.

Things changes, more competition arise, the game is past its peak considering how long it have been around. This is not things brode can change. That’s a fact too. MTG wasn’t at its height of popularity since the 1990s and 2000s and guess what they are still surviving today and All my MTG friend who play 10 years ago have long quit the game but did they die? No.
Tldr, I agree with the problem but brode isn’t the solution

I was never even a big fan of ben brode cause i didnt like the aggro metas of the past. But at least he was way more careful and creative on design and he helped new players much more. You know how many friends of mine i managed to get into HS because i simply told them that buying the adventure (naxxramas,league of explorers etc) only costs 20 dollars and will get you all the cards? It’s the sole reason why some of my friends started because they at least could immidiately get some nice good decks without having to sell their kidney.
Now they removed the adventure type expansions because it was obviously not getting them enough money. And the cards they designe are TERRIBLE. Manacheating, cards that generate randomly other cards, broken infinite combos, completely random BS that you can never play around etc.
Well at least i’m glad i played this during the good years…
I obviously dont care about ladder cause i will never played this atrocious mode ever again, but i came back for Battlegrounds and i was actually enjoying a lot before the latest patch. And this is why im upset. They broke that game mode too. Now its impossible to win with beasts or demons cause murlocs are out of control and Brann/yogg are so broken that its ridiculous.

For BG, I do agree murloc is a tad too strong right now, hope a nerf on them coming soon. But I just lost a final 2 games against a beast comp ( and I am demon) at 7k MMR. So it’s harder but not impossible.
Hate to admit it but he is right. Hearth stone is bullc@ap lately.

Thats not possible because you see…Brode is a straight white male and thats not compatible with blizzards inner workings.

rafaam in zoo is a fake zoo. Zoo switch to control hoping for something to happen. The whole zoo lock now isnt even viable anyway. Snip Snap is free too ( i kinda dont consider free legend like snip snap or vargoth etc to be part of the cost since you dont incur anyway) . Main is still solarium and leeroy. Tekhan is only in a lackey package. I dont think you run it together with Rafaam anw.
U know, most of these problems were created when he was in charge, u dont have the slightest idea of what u talking about.
Also, do u really want to keep playing with the same old decks for 8 months?
Like undertaker? dr boom? piloted shredder? Azure drake? original leeroy? most of the rogue’s set?
Most of the classic set is nerfed and rotated due to its permanent status in the meta, if it had the same power level of an expansion people would keep playing without any great change in strategy nor tactics.
Just for u to know, he didnt designed all the cards himself and some of the original team is still on team 5.
I climbed ranked all from the bottom of rank 20 to rank 8 with it, Zoo is basically a strong tier 2 deck right now due to what is mostly in the meta, it was weak during the stupid doom in the tomb event due to n’zoth and evolve but now the power level of control is lower.
Oh i haven played since the event end, just waiting for new expansion. That is interesting to know. Glad to see warlock slightly out of dumpster.
It’s probably true that Brode was a better game designer than game director but the reason Hearthstone significantly improved over the last few months is because revenue has been (sharply) declining for some time now and Chris Sigaty managed to convince the upper echelons to give him a whole bunch of additional developpers.
It has also been Blizzard that has pushed team 5 to get Battlegrounds out sooner than later (hence the beta) and apparently there’s more “stuff” coming over the next few months. Most likely their revamped progression system they’ve been working on for the last year.
It’s not possible to do that anymore. Brode is running his own business, probably mobile market related as well, last I heard was some marvel related game. I doubt that even if blizzard offered a hefty sum he wouldn’t return - based on his last post, he left on his own volition, stating the trivial farewell dribble they all do to keep their relationship in good terms. I do not believe blizzard would offer it anyway, because the chiefs are having all of it and its always cheaper to get a replacement that can do pretty much the same thing.
