Playing Battlegrounds in this meta is like playing constructed with 10 base hp

I never said I would buy a hyena and grandmother, I said that would be the only time I would intentionally buy a grandmother (well that, or it just being the best of bad minions on turn3 (definitely not later)). How would I have a hyena? Well, hyena can still be the best choice on turn1… E.g., 2/1 demon, mecharoo and hyena - i’d go with the hyena. Get a cat + grandmother (sell the 2nd cat) on turn3 and suddenly 3 bad minions turn into a pretty decent turn3 lineup (would usually only lose if hyena gets sniped).
Although, when I play with golden hyena, I sometimes buy a grandmother even later, I might even end up taunting it, if I really don’t get any other ways to put a taunt up.
Hyena was a strong minion even when it was a tier2 minion, it being tier1 just makes it easier to gold and provides a pretty decent early game strategy when beasts seem to be stacking up.

No, it’s not, because you don’t end up with a sensible build half of the time. The game is too fast and too rng. You have to have a build already in the making. If you get to 5 at 30 hp on round 7 with random garbage, you won’t make anything that can win the game, before you get utterly destroyed by mid ranges, who at this point start hitting you for 15+. You are literally dead in 2-3 rounds, so you have to have murlocs already in play…

Because that’s the ONLY way to win! You have to force early! The game is too short to transition into a build… You can not transition round after round 7, because the mid ranges will DESTROY you! You have to have a board which you can already improve upon. Long gone are the days where you can play random good cards, then level to 5, get a brand and 4 murlocs and transition… When the game is infested with cannon tokens from half of the lobby that hits for 15+ on round 7, good luck making a transition in 3 turns… You are literally talking out of your a.**

You don’t force archetypes. Menagerie just got buffed and you can win with any crap if you get Amalgadon and a couple of unique things and manages to survive.

No, Cannon needs to be a Tier 3 3/3, it’s insane with tokens early, but in mid game it doesn’t really do too much. But early game determines all.

Arcane cannon is the number 2 issue in BG right now after god murlocs.

Except it just kills people midgame. What do you consider mid game, btw? Because by the way you talk, I’d assume you think it’s turn 8, which is the late game… Mid game is turns 4-7. I would say turn 3 is already mid game, since you can get a cannon.

You need good positioning, and most importantly, minion HP. Which now any menagerie build can have.

Anything top four is a win. Are you saying you expect to hit first place everytime?

I win all the time transition on turn 7-10, I rarely play a specific comp until then, and I win much more than I lose. I win with many different heroes, but I don’t expect first.

With respect to forcing comps, it really depends on the hero. Certain powers make it work better, but others don’t. Forcing murlocs in with a bad hero in a good lobby is a recipe for 7th or 8th, destroyed by cannons and tokens because you didn’t take big minions that stop cannon.
