Platebreaker needs to come back

That’s it, no further explanation needed.

Why, what happened??

Yes and no. On one hand I hate warriors too, but on the other tech cards in general are a very sketchy part of the game design; they usually make sense in something like the micro-meta of the top 20 players of the game who know exactly what PERSON they try to counter; for the rest who just copy paste netdecks they usually shoot themselves in the foot because most of their opponents will usually not need the tech counter so they just have a dud in their deck.

Also should Steam Cleaner but it won’t because it would ruin poor little Warriors… stop dreaming… this team not even want the game to be balanced… or they are too incompetent to realize where did it go wrong…

I still just wanna know what happened that someone would say platebreaker needs to come back lol…it wasn’t even played when it was around so I’m just curious what’s going on

besides warriors, i once ran into a druid deck that ended up buffing a minion to over 3K attack which also gave him over 3K armor. He mostly kept shuffling a card into his deck after that to avoid fatigue. I didn’t even know about platebreaker then. I would have loved to play that card lol.

I have seen a few mage decks that pile on the armor as well but not recently.

Platebreaking would be played as a different card at 3 mana, but I doubt it’s that important. Tech cards have always the issue that they are duds if some opponents can’t be affected so they are in most cases anti-synergy for most rank brackets.

Armor related cards are too broken now, back in the day you use to “destroy” all your amor to deal damage equal to it to all minions, or just to a single one without destroying it, but now with [Sanitize] it’s just completely broken and don’t make me start QQing about druid/warrior with that ridiculuous card [Sleep Under the Stars], the whole balance for the armor mechanic it’s just gone, they can go from no armor to 30+ armor in one turn with 5 mana…

Ah, lol. Sorry I just didn’t know why you thought we needed Platebreaker back. It isn’t even played in Wild where Druid gets not 30 armor or 100 armor but 4,000 armor. I’m not sure going from 0 to 30 armor in a turn is much of an issue, comparatively

We’re comparing apples to oranges here m8, if you don’t play standard I’m afraid you won’t be able to see the problem since, as you mention, in wild, druids can get 4k armor.

Right…sorry but even what you told me about gaining 30 armor or whatever in standard, would not be enough for people to run platebreaker.

I had 115 health earlier today as a DK (30 health and 85 armor). For sure armor is getting out of control.

That’s still 4000 effective life less than Druid though

the conversation keeps jumping back and forth between standard and wild.

85 armor in standard is enough to remove IMO. If it’s a warrior getting attack from armor after the legendary is needs to go much sooner.

P.S bring back steamcleaner too!

The conversation exists because people misunderstand the design of this game in whole. When both heroes are 10 mana or more then the game is INTENTIONALLY broken. You have either died if you were a fast deck or even a mid-range deck or you are a late game deck that throws atomic bombs to each other.

Basically they have 999 armor? Who cares you are supposed to have 999 damage that late.

I think you aren’t understanding that people in standard would not be running a 5 mana 5/5 that the vast majority of the time has no effect, and even when it does do something, the only effect is “doing some damage to the hero that just gets healed/regained/reapplied anyway”. I mean I guess in this regard, go ahead and bring platebreaker back; it won’t be played and won’t make a difference, so it really doesn’t matter.

Where did platebreaker go? I can still play the card.
