People quitting

Seriously need to consider instituting some penalty for players quitting during a match, It’s ruining the game. It’s a low rent move, now I find myself doing it. Force them to take a timeout before starting a new game. Man up and lose til the bitter end. That is all…

What game mode is this about?

I can see the need of some reasonable time-out for people who leave a match early. Diablo games prevent you from rapidly creating new worlds and WoW queues have a deserter buff. However, I do NOT trust Blizzard to implement it in a way that isn’t overly punitive to people legitimately leaving for a valid reason.

Thanks, that’s exactly what I was referring to, similar to the deserter buff. I spend half my time queing now after someone plays 2 cards, doesn’t like how his chances look and bails…

I get it once I play my Mage Quest card. Accounts for about 15-20% of my wins.

You should also be made aware that you could be playing against someone on mobile. I crash, freeze constantly on the app. So there are numerous times that I need to close out in the middle of a match. It’s frustrating for me, super difficult to climb. Sometimes it blows my win streak because the app crashed. I get what your saying, but not everyone is just leaving because they want to

Why would I waste my time playing a completely unbalanced Meta. When pirates win 80% of the time why spend 10 minutes playing that deck when I can just concede and play another deck that I actually have a chance at winning.

Don’t penalize the player penalize the company that created a terrible game that is unbalanced and just a bunch of noobs jumping from one OP deck to the next OP deck.

I missed where the OP said they were running a Pirate deck.

Why should I be forced to watch to the end when I have clearly lost or I couldn’t be bothered watching a mage play solitaire.

Penalty for conceding is exactly how you turn an already bad gaming experience into straight up toxic

You obviously haven’t played team sports…

Are you seriously complaining about winning a match?

People generally quit a match for a few reasons…

#1 They get tilted when they see a card and their defeatist voices tells them the only option is to concede.

#2 They know their deck like the back of their hand and know when they are facing a matchup that generally result in a loss. Rather than wasting their time, they prefer to accept the loss and move onto the next match that will yield a more favorable result.

#3 And sometimes stuff happens where they just need to quit, be it baby puked on the keyboard, dog jumped out the window, kids filled up the microwave full of forks and knives and set it to high, so their attention is needed elsewhere in that particular moment.

hmmm are you getting your games confused? Cuz there’s no Team in hearthstone. There’s you and then there’s your opponent.

Not sure why your trying to compare a team sport with a single player computer game.

Think of it like chess conceding if that helps

Am I supposed to understand what that means?

So if im stuck facing some glorified ego centric person that will troll , grief me and show us his ultimate version of his meta deck , i can’t concede without getting a penalty ?

Yeah no. I’m not gonna stick around while ppl bm with emotes and roping every turn. And no body has the right to force me to do so. Nor should anyone be punished for leaving.

My favorite thing when people quit is “your opponent left.” I picture them hitting Alt+F4 so hard it breaks their keyboard and then running out of the basement to cry to their mommy.
