Patch Notes are Out!

Dev Comment: Kael’thas, Brann, and Denathrius have appeared together as a package in a variety of decks. To address the specific interaction between these three cards, we felt the best solution was to add 2 more cost to the Brann-Kael’thas combo so that they can’t be played with 10 mana.

Awesome, now only Druid can play it, the one deck where it actually was a huge problem. Complete bs. A real non fix. Not that it matters because Druid dont need Kaelthas at all but its extremly weird way of handling it.

Druids nerf is pretty big though, assuming you ramp with the HP multiple times that’s a 4+ mana nerf

You can no longer jam a t6 guff into HP, now it’s pretty ackward

Wow, free dust with edwin (not because it’s bad so you dust it, but because it’s from the miniset, so I have it in anycase and the “nerf” is just a “you can choose to keep the card as it originally was or get a new one”)! They should buff and revert the buff more often :joy:

Kaeltas nerf was unexpected: i mean, it was clearly not ok just by looking at the old kaeltas fail (2 nerfs); easy dust even in that case

Starfish… I am so sad this was a very good tech card, now it is still good but it’s not up to date with the current power level.

Quest hunter is getting the softest nerf ever :joy: with +1 spell is probably still possible to finish the quest and play tavish by turn 7.

The new buffs aren’t going to do much; I won’t start playing paladin because bannerman has +1 health; if I needed the naga, I would put it in my deck regardless of its health

They did nerf the Guff so maybe that slows Ramp Druid down enough for decks to actually make Druid a crater before Denathrius hits.

So… double Denathrius was problematic specially because of druid… so they made sure only druids can play it. Awesome.

Super disappointed in this patch. Feels like whoever is their data analyst is looking at numbers only, not playing the game and understanding what actually makes these decks powerful or weak.

I dont understand this nerf i do however find it hilarious that they nerfed a direct counter to freezes when people are lossing their minds over it.
I love it lol.

Yeah the starfish nerf makes 0 sense and the paladin buff is just what we needed to resurrect the class

Only thing i can think is Enrage Warrior, Starfish was a massive counter to the deck .
Maybe its to boost that deck???
I’m just grasping at straws…

That’s a nerf I liked, felt more of a buff to buff classes like paladin and enrage warrior, and unfortunately naga priest as well. The card was too good anyway.

Its clear to me what their intentions are.

They want ramp druid to be the guardian protecting the game from seeing control decks or any form of slower decks. Try to play something slow and o holy druid will 80 hp otk you.

Now i can only hope that the guff nerf will make it so that aggro pops off so hard that ramp druid is gone so that some new decks that are currently hindered by ramp druid will be viable.

Have my doubt though.

These nerfs make sense.

Guff and Dawngrasp slowed down, Edwin buff reverted. Classes comboing people with Daddy D out of nowhere removed.

Starfish playrate might decrease enough to allow paladin and warrior decks to function.

Looks good to me.

DH can do it too sometimes. you just need to draw either brann or kael with the relic, doesnt matter whether you’ve ramped relics up yet or not

The nerfs are good, but insufficient. Mage and quest hunter might drop a tier but the rest will likely stay the same, specially druid which was barely affected.

They buffed druid with the nerf to kaelthas. also they nerfed mage twice. and didnt touch theotar. terrible decisions.

Seriously, how the f does druid keep dodging nerfs ?

Lol is this a joke?

Starfish is a power creeped card to the point of being the answer all tech.

I’m not a paladin main, but most that I know are laughing at the changes.

It took them multiple weeks for this? How does anyone still defend these clowns.

Guff cost need to be increased to at the very least 8, remaining at 5 means druid still the terror of the meta and don’t need to worry about rogue anymore because Edwin for 3 manas was the only thing keeping the class from fall in the same abyss where the corpses of paladin and warrior are.

The only thing we will see all day until new cards release will be druids, druids and more druids.

Mage nerfs are right but without nerfing druid to oblivion only will make the meta even less diverse, before the nerfs we see 80% druids and 20% something else, now will be druid 100%.
