New update just came out. Hearthstone screen says tap anywhere to begin update. I tap and it takes me to the app store but no option other than open. I click open in the store and brings me back to hearthstone which crashes.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Same thing happened as soon as I hit the login screen.

There was a period of time today when the patch was being rolled out where you may have been prompted for an update in-game but unable to download the update from the app store.
Please try going to the app store for your device again and check for pending updates. All platforms should be available for download at this time.
the problem persists, I hope solved as soon as possible, we mobile players already have to wait 3/4 hours longer than the others to play the new update, then if these things have to happen every time it is shameful, I have been trying to enter for an hour in the game like an idiot!
I dont know if this is why mine started working but, I reinstalled the game app, then I went to my phone settings Apps>Google play>storage>clear cache
Then I went back to google play and downloaded the update. After that the game worked on my phone again.
