I set up my first Fireside Gathering for tonight. When I launched Hearthstone from my iPad about a half hour before the event start time, it gave me the option to go ahead and set it up. I set it up about 10 minutes prior to the listed start time and everything looks fine on my end. My wife, who is sitting right next to me on the same wifi network with her laptop’s location settings on, can’t see the Gathering to join it. She clicks on “Fireside Gatherings,” scans for location, it finds the network name, but then tells her no Fireside Gatherings here. I’ve found several posts throughout the years about this issue with no resolution and the page on the Battlenet “help” site gives suggestions like making sure the game is up to date (it is), location services are turned on (they are), etc etc etc. It’s pretty clear this is a big issue but has anyone found an actual solution to this? Thanks.
I’m having this exact issue. Registered my first Private Fireside Gathering. I logged in and was able to access it. My son and wife sitting right next to me on phones with the same network, location services on… they can scan and see the network but it says no fireside gathering here. Please someone find a solution!
You all need to be on the same wifi router for it to work. If your connected via your cell network it will not work.
In fact my PC is wired into the router, and I am not able to join my friends who connect to the same router via wifi in a fireside chat.
