I wasn’t expecting that. With a title like Cliffs Over Dover, I was expecting more of a Irish Folk song—something that would pair with:
Eric Johnson is one of my favorite guitarists.
He toured in the day with Carol King in the day, and shreds with a bit of Austin City limits flair.
French remains the most beautifull language for songs.
It takes a while for the song to get really going so you have to go past the first minute.
It should be available now. Loving this song, its so beautifull.
The cheap trick one posted 3 posts ago i like, never heard that one.
Havent been in this thread for a while, didnt go back all the way but checked out quiet a few and some i really like. Great recomandations.
You clearly appreciate symphonic music.
Your post of The Eve of War had me reflecting on Symphonic Rock bands from my youth like Pink Floyd and Kansas.
A good friend of mine in high school was a big fan of Kansas and we saw several of their concerts together, including one performance in a small cozy bar in Canada.
That friend recently fulfilled something on his bucket list friend when he got an opportunity to collaborate with Kerry Livgren by singing some supporting parts on Livgren’s cantata, The Resurrection of Lazarus.

I was quiet big on pinkfloyd when i was younger, Kansas i will check out, might know the music but not the name.
Flower power 60,s are still my favorit but i do like symphonic. Supertramp as well.
War of the worlds was a song that the parents of a friend of me played a lot thats how i got to know it. Its kinda only this song i really like though from the whole album.
I actually do not listen much to Kansas these days—maybe because I over- listened to the band in my youth, or maybe because some of the music sounds a bit dated now to me.
I did link Dust In The Wind, because it’s a very nostalgic song for me, and it does have a heavy symphonic sound, plus I have that friend who occasionally still chats with Kerry Livgren. I think Kerry is around 70 years old now, and he may be done with producing music.
I could have linked symphoniic Rock songs, like Mr. Blue Sky or Telephone Line by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), since I regularly still listen to those songs.
I also still listen to some Super Tramp songs, like The Logical Song, Goodbye Stranger, and Give A Little Bit.
