I used to love metal and rock, but as I got older I gravitated towards more accoustic music. I stopped playing guitar mostly and play banjo because it’s basically constant shredding without blowing out my eardrums.

I have been playing a whole bunch of Sturgill Simpson’s Cutting Grass albums lately. I won’t link them here because they contain NSFW lyrics in many songs. Volume 2 (Cowboy Arms Sessions) starts with a serious jam.

I’ll always be a rock/metal head, but I’m not a death metal person. I actually enjoy listening to country/rap now as I’ve matured when I would never listen to that stuff in my 20’s, but I will always have a rock preference. My spectrum of music is very wide now. I can go from Godsmack to Miley Cyrus to No Doubt to Snoop Dogg to Disturbed in a heartbeat lol
